McKean McGregor director Alex Collins described the sale as "exceptional".
Transcript
00:00Our one-year-old and one-and-a-half-year-old ewes were exceptionally strong.
00:03They made up to a top of $480 for the Cartwright ewes.
00:07We had the Broome and Lowry sheep make $470.
00:11I think also the Golden Wattles and the Hay sheep made about that money.
00:16They all went back to repeat buyers in the Western District and the South of Victoria,
00:20the Ballarat District particularly strong here as well.
00:23Then we saw a really solid floor in the one-year-old and one-and-a-half-year-old sheep
00:27of sort of $430 through to sort of $450 or $160.
00:31And then we got inside on some lighter sheep and they sold exceptionally well,
00:35either side of $400 for most of those.
00:37And it took a light one-year-off type sheep to make anywhere under $350.
00:41Tops of the ewe lambs, $430.
00:43The Melroses topped out at $430 there.
00:47Went to repeat buyers from the Ballarat District and got split a couple of ways there.
00:52D.R. Collins & Partners, $425.
00:53Then we saw a lot of ewe lambs, you know, the better-end ewe lambs make $360 to $380.
00:58That was good going on the day and given where the job's at.
01:03And I thought the back half of our ewe lambs were exceptionally strong.
01:07You know, Gippsland buyers, Tasmanian buyers and the fellas in the South and the Southwest
01:12really soaked up most of those sheep.
01:14And they all made, you know, anywhere from $250 for the very, very lightest end
01:19through to $320 or $330 for the mid-range type.
01:21So they look very strong on the day and they'll go to good feed down there
01:25and do very well for everyone's purchasing needs down there.
01:31It was fair buying and fair selling on the day.
01:33So we've had a good day here at Bendigo.
