07:47you when map reading when you're a little girl correct this is your task navigator and then your
07:52money mr money and their budget in cash we're gonna have to decide who's in charge of the money we can
07:57split it in case one of us gets robbed time to learn where the race will tick let's do this

08:49must pass through five checkpoints only when they reach one will they learn where the next will be
08:55and they must do it all on a budget of just 950 pounds per person pesos and dollars the equivalent
09:03cost of flying the route that is so much less than i thought sleeping on benches here we can oh god
09:10basically we've got around 30 quid each a day that's crazy your first checkpoint is flores peten
09:19where's that not a clue we're not very good at this are we no we'll spend all day at this but let's

11:10ability there's no doubt in our minds that we're going to go and finish it we'll finish it even if we

11:24particularly i do i've seen strong sides of my mum so i know what she's capable of
11:33doing things that scare you are so important to you as a human being
11:38to be able to have this with my sister is incredible who can i trip up first i'm gonna be
11:44striding up this beach i have no doubt it's going to be the most emotional exhilarating experience
11:50as much as it scares me it excites me

15:31wild jump in the deep end never for once in our lives have we ever been in a situation where we've
15:35never known where we're gonna sleep what we're gonna eat or how we're gonna get there yeah so we
15:41need to get to the a of Guatemala on this map right to reach Flores teams could hug the Caribbean
15:49coastline the most direct route but includes an extra country Belize former British colony with a
15:57national pride for conservation seen in its lush jungle and ancient Maya ruins or they could enter
16:04Guatemala by heading west to make the most of Mexico here they can save a life in the Yucatan
16:11Peninsula from rural ranches to well-preserved cities for more than 300 years of Spanish conquest
16:18all that we need to experience what actual authentic Mexico is this is like our chance to do what all our
16:26friends did in their gap years exactly and we never got to do it that's what we're gonna dive into oh here
16:32we go classified ads to make it to the finish line teams must work to top up their budgets and have

17:59like exotic and there's so many Mayan ruins there that'd be amazing when I was growing up dad was

18:11tended to be Blackpool Blackpool Whitby me and my brother in the boot along with a massive picnic we
18:20can explore Belize a bit yeah and get a good experience as well on the way I'm very curious
18:25and wherever I'll go that's what I'm looking forward to really seeing something new and never seen before
18:30in my life but we will have to cross the border yeah so there might be a bit of faff but it's the
18:35most direct route dad are you up for this let's go for it let's vamos me and dad want a proper
18:42adventure like you know Indiana Jones style or romancing the stone hola to the central bus station

19:43doing two borders because they take a long time or do we just try and find our way through Mexico then
19:48go straight into Guatemala from there first day is like should we go this way should we go that way
19:54how long is it gonna take for us to go that way should we rock paper scissors oh it's hard man it's so
20:00hard I just don't want to stay in cancun I can't afford it no it ain't cheap hey we need to get out of
20:07this bit and then figure it out yeah let's go to Valadoid tonight and then the day after we just sprint
20:15it down okay let's go hedging their bets the siblings settle on a short 200 kilometer
20:26hop to Valladolid to keep their options of onward travel open let's also busty our way out of here

20:54and harley moon are first to leave cancun already we're just gonna track these mosquitoes
21:01we know the ski was a common area I look like I am as two more teams look to make a getaway
21:07there's a bus to check to mal I mean we could just do an overnight bus as we might as well cover the
21:13distance right what sleep on the bus my god we're fixed we are fit it Anita and bow sees the chance to
21:22leap south straight to the city closest to the border of Belize I'm not gonna sleep I'm buzzing
21:30I'll tell you a little story how's that yeah once upon a time I feel like our best option is to find
21:41somewhere to sleep and eat here and then in the morning jump on a bus to Campeche isn't our coach
21:47that goes there now no you want to do an overnight bus on day one not that I want to do an overnight
21:53bus but if we get to Campeche at early hours in the morning have an amazing day and see a side of
21:58Mexico that we never once imagined Tyler's plan save an accommodation by traveling 490 kilometers through Mexico overnight
22:09do we want to be near the toilet no think about it think about it okay no
22:16look I hope this pays off because this could get us ahead you know it's the final minutes of our anniversary
22:24don't say I don't spoil you honestly I feel like the luckiest girl in the world right now watch out

26:03something really really nice about that like a space to just clear your head isn't it when I first jumped
26:10into this industry I was told to get social media like you know you need to you need to jump on this
26:15I feel like now it's just become part of the job and part of life and so we've navigated a lot of our
26:21relationship with all eyes on us there's not many times where you know we've been without social media
26:26and sharing all that stuff I feel like this is the first time I've done a job that's been considered
26:31normal what pig and peppers yeah I started working when I was 11 was gigging every weekend I was sitting
26:39in my year six sacks and I was on the final of Britain's Got Talent the night before yeah I was
26:46like when I was 11 I was the shyest kid ever I was the shyest kid ever I used to get my homework done at
26:53school so I could run home and watch Indiana Jones movies I was shy of course I was shy as hell such a
26:59contrast to today I guess yeah what would be so nice about the race is just have like a moment where
27:05you know you get rid of like the outside noise switch off literally disconnect yeah from our phones and

28:22tourists pay twice the price of locals it comes at a cost of four percent of their total budget
28:27South of Merida there's lots of connections yeah yeah for potential route to get to Guatemala and we can
28:35explore Mexico more going this route their high-speed train will whisk them 300 kilometers to the colonial
28:42town of Merida the cultural capital of the Yucatan let's do some culture treat ourselves eating yeah
28:49hopefully some lovely food for you we need an upgrade from a hot dog yeah yeah yeah I'm really
28:57excited as good music there so that's what I'm hoping for actually if I was your age I would have been
