In giving Japan its first Breeders' Cup Classic win this weekend at Del Mar, Forever Young was also the Fastest Horse of the Week with his 111 Beyer Speed Figure. The champion is expected to return to the racetrack in 2026.
Transcript
00:00As always, the fastest horse of the week brought to you by the Fast Sires at Windstar Farm.
00:04The spotlight this week is on Audible, the intermischief stallion who impressively won the 2018 Holy Bull and Florida Derby,
00:11later wound up his career with a good fifth in the Dubai World Cup.
00:14He's now a Breeders' Cup winning sire.
00:17Breeders' Cup Philly and Mare Sprint winner Splendora, a daughter of Audible, becoming his first Breeders' Cup and Grade 1 winner.
00:24Audible is a top five third crop sire, and he will stand next year at Windstar for a fee of only $7,500.
00:32Not surprisingly, the fastest horse of the week, classic winner Forever Young,
00:36who put up that 1.11 fire speed figure in becoming Japan's first classic winner, Breeders' Cup classic winner, that is.
00:44He'll now be appointed for a defense of his Saudi Cup win earlier this year,
00:49and he could very well once again face Hong Kong Superstar Romantic Warrior.
00:54That was quite a race in February earlier between the two.
00:58I think the best dirt race run anywhere in the world in 2025, Romantic Warrior, will be an eight-year-old next year.
01:03He's currently recuperating from surgery back in May, but he's training very well.
01:08He'll run later this month.
01:10It is not an end to the career, fortunately, for Forever Young.
01:15Time to Grade 1
01:20Have a great day.
