00:00Welcome in now to Gainesway Guest of the Week. It's none other than Jose D'Angelo, the hottest man at the Breeders' Cup with not just one, but two wins, and not just two wins, but two wins back-to-back.
00:10The owner came one morning to Ibarra, and he said, hey, Jose, the horse can't go long. I was sure not, but I was trying so bad, you know, to stretch him. I don't know, I say, but if he don't go long, I promise you the horse is going to be on the Breeders' Cup. And he said, you are joking.
00:28Guest of the Week, Jose D'Angelo, brought to you by Gainesway, home of the legendary Tappet, the sire of Runaway Distaff winner Silla. That win was Tappet's eighth Breeders' Cup victory as the sire's third grade one score this year. The all-time Breeders' Cup sire standings now go like this, into Mischief and Dabawi with nine wins each. They also had winners last weekend, followed by Tappet, Curlin, and More Than Ready with eight apiece.
00:55So Tappet is still delivering now with 107 graded winners, 171 black-type winners, and seven North American champions that could become eight pending Silla's Eclipse Award votes.
01:07Tappet will stand for $185,000 at Gainesway in 2026. Gainesway, power, passion, performance.
01:15Tappet will stand for $20,000.
