00:00A wonderful, warm though wet Wednesday evening to all. Yours truly, Gabrielle Lopez here and glad to bring you PTV News Now and tops on our stories for tonight.
00:12The government under President Ferdinand Marcus Jr. has been quick to respond to the aftermath of Typhoon Tino.
00:19The Department of Health has already distributed hygiene kits, drinking water and medicines to the hardest hit areas.
00:26In addition, the Department of Social Welfare and Development has provided family food packs and ready-to-eat meals to residents in affected regions.
00:34The administration has also extended financial aid to families who lost loved ones in the disaster.
00:40Despite political differences, President Marcus Jr. assured that the government's help is available to all, regardless of political affiliation.
00:47The government is also reviewing flood control projects in Cebu to understand why the region still faced flooding despite the completion of 343 such projects between 2016 and 2022.
01:00Lastly, the President has directed government agencies to keep Christmas and year-end celebrations simple as a show of solidarity with the people who have endured numerous calamities this year.

01:42URC has been told to clean up its own backyard and repair the harm done.
01:46Authorities are considering filing charges for possible violations of the NIPAS Act, showing that the government won't turn a blind-eyed to environmental offenders.
