00:40According to Palace Press Officer and Undersecretary Claire Castro,
00:43the president continues to keep up a close watch on the condition of areas hit by the typhoon
00:48where thousands of Filipinos are in need of immediate assistance.
00:51The president also expressed appreciation for the prompt implementation of preemptive evacuation measures
00:57that ensured the safety of residents in the affected provinces.

01:04from the Department of Social Welfare and Development for the victims.

01:57Based on the latest data from the Office of Civil Defense,
02:00more than 17,000 families or equivalent to 60,000 individuals were affected by Typhoon Tino.

02:09a total of 129,700 families or more than 387,000 individuals
02:15were immediately evacuated and are staying in evacuation centers.
02:19As for the power supply, out of the 57 electric cooperatives in the affected areas,
02:248 have no power, 15 are partially without, while 18 remain operational.
02:30Restoration efforts continue to ensure the immediate return of electricity services in affected areas.
02:36Authorities are also verifying reports of fatalities from the onslaught of the typhoon.
02:40The OCD assured that government's quick response fund remains adequate despite the series of calamities.
