This special report focuses on Lok Sabha Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi's explosive allegations of a massive 'vote theft' in the Haryana Assembly elections, which he termed 'Operation Sarkar Chori'. He claimed, 'The lady in question is a Brazilian model. This is proof of a centralised operation... The lady is one of 25 lakh such people (fake votes)'. Gandhi alleged that a stock photo of a Brazilian model was used for 22 different voter entries across 10 booths, contributing to what he called 25 lakh fake votes. The claims, made just hours before the first phase of the Bihar elections, were strongly countered by the Election Commission, which called them "unfounded" and questioned why Congress's polling agents never raised objections. The BJP also hit back, with Union Minister Kiren Rijiju stating the allegations were fabricated to divert attention from the Bihar polls.
Transcript
00:00Now, just hours ahead of the first phase of Bihar elections,
00:03Lok Sabha, leader of opposition, Rahul Gandhi dropped what Congress calls its hydrogen bomb or the H-bomb
00:10and alleged that vote theft occurred in Haryana, claiming the assembly polls there were stolen.
00:17Rahul claimed that a woman identified as a Brazilian model, Matheus Ferreiro,
00:22had cast 22 votes under different names across 10 booths in the right constituency.
00:28He pointed out that Congress lost the Haryana elections by just 22,789 votes,
00:36emphasising how close the contest was.
00:39Rahul Gandhi highlighted a clip of Haryana Chief Minister Nayib Singh Saini recorded two days prior the results,
00:46showing Saini saying everything was arranged, or rather in Hindi,
00:50and that BJP would form a majority government.
00:55He claimed that a conspiracy turned Congress's landslide victory into a loss in Haryana.
01:01However, Election Commission sources countered these claims,
01:05noting that zero appeals were filed against Haryana's electoral rolls
01:08and only 22 election petitions are currently pending in the High Court for 90 assembly seats.
01:15Election Commission even dared Rahul to provide proof,
01:18as petitions have already been filed in two constituencies that he raised.
01:21BJP also hit back at Rahul, claiming that results often differ from exit polls
01:27and that Congress leaders like Kumari Shailja had themselves predicted Congress's loss.
01:33He also questioned why Congress's polling agents never reported any fraud.
01:38So now, let's go to the proof.
01:47Who is this lady?
01:49How old is she?
01:52Which state does she come from?
01:55What's her name?
01:58Can anyone try?
01:59Try?
02:00Where is she from?
02:04Try, try.
02:05Give me some guesses.
02:06Where do you think you are?
02:11Anybody?
02:13Goa?
02:15Maharashtra?
02:17North?
02:18Is she from Haryana?
02:19You sure?
02:21You absolutely sure she's not from Haryana?
02:23Okay, but she votes 22 times in Haryana.
02:30And she votes in 10 different booths in Haryana.
02:32And she's got multiple names.
02:41Seema, Sweetie, Saraswati, Rashmi, Vimla.
02:52Now, what's interesting about this and why I'm opening with this slide.
02:57Go back, please.
02:59Why I'm opening with this slide is because this happens in 10 booths.
03:05That means that this is a centralized operation.
03:14That somebody fed this lady into the electoral list at a centralized level, not at the booth level.
03:26Just like Anand and just like Mahadeva Pura.
03:31So, last guess is, I'm going to give a prize, if anybody can guess this.
03:36Anybody?
03:38She's from Brazil.
03:39She's a Brazilian model.
03:49That's a stock photograph.
03:53And she's one of 25 lakh such records in Haryana.
04:00This is proof of a centralized operation.
04:04I'm going to show you a few.
04:05If you just scan that, which I'll do just now.
04:13If you scan that,
04:22this opens.
04:30That's her official page.
04:36Okay?
04:38Now,
04:40she's one of 25 lakh such people.
04:45One question,
04:46what is a Brazilian woman
04:47doing on the electoral list
04:50of Haryana?
04:52Now, you're looking surprised.
04:54What is this?
04:56There's a logic.
04:58There's a reason.
05:00There's the catalyst.
05:03They're going to say,
05:06there's a little bit of the exit poll.
05:07They have won the Congress Party.
05:10There's a whole new exit poll.
05:11They are always on the exit poll.
05:14They've always done.
05:16We have been in 2004.
05:18We have won the truth.
05:19We're looking at it.
05:21And the exit poll, opinion poll,
05:23they've made to fully
05:24BJP.
05:25NDA.
05:25They're getting sure.
05:26They're going to clear cut.
05:27But when it was counting,
05:29and we've earned it. So we haven't done it. We haven't had the election commission. We've
05:36given it. We've believed and we've given them and the UPA government's information.
05:43We haven't reached our expectations. But people in the country will win or win. It will
