00:00Jaden Daniels, starting quarterback, who's had hamstring problems throughout the year,
00:03comes back, plays.
00:05They were terrible in the first half.
00:07He was healthy, though.
00:08Only scored seven points in the first half, down 31 to seven at halftime.
00:12And then late in the second half, he gets hit.
00:15You're trying to make a play.
00:17And as he goes down and kind of braces his fall with his non-throwing hand, his left hand, this happens.
00:22That is not supposed to go that way.
00:24Yeah.
00:25That is not how your arm's supposed to go.
00:26Can't stop staring at it.
00:28Ugh.
00:28Which is what I do.
00:30Yeah, you love it.
00:31So he dislocates his elbow.
00:33Again, non-throwing hand, but he's out for the rest of the season.
00:36Yeah.
00:36It'd be a minor miracle to come back.
00:38And their season's going to be over anyway.
00:39So there's no point in him coming back, you know, after dislocating his elbow.
00:43And it sucks watching it, right?
00:44I know people making the RG3 comparison, you know, same amount of time in the league, kind of the same situation.
00:49Totally different from an injury standpoint.
00:51Yeah, this is not nearly as severe.
00:53And at the time, the Redskins abused RG3 by making him play without a knee.
00:57That being said, here's the narrative now that just bothers me to my core.
01:03The narrative now from a lot of the mainstream national media and folks is, why was Jaden Daniels in the game?
01:10That it was malpractice for Jaden Daniels to be in that game in the fourth quarter with the possibility of getting injured.
01:18And I hear that and it's like nails on a chalkboard to me because that would essentially be the NFL's version of load management in the NBA.
01:28And that's something that I detest.
01:29I think most of us do.
01:30We want to see our superstars play.
01:33So I was thinking about all the, you know, the outcries now for, you know, how they mismanaged this and he never should have been in the game.
01:40First and foremost, nobody said that before he got hurt.
01:43So now you're just reacting to the fact that your starting quarterback got hurt and I get that you're emotional.
01:49It's tough, but I would ask you a question.
01:51Were you yelling and screaming that Sam Donald should have been taken out of that game?
01:56Right?
01:56Meaningless minutes.
01:57Right.
01:58Right.
01:58You're up by 24 points in the fourth quarter.
02:01The game's a wrap.
02:02It was 38-7 when he got hurt.
02:04Yeah.
02:04So to me, so where's the outcry that Seattle, who's in a position to make the playoffs and make a run?
02:11Cause they're great defense that Sam Donald's playing his ass off.
02:14Sam Donald is to Seattle.
02:16What Jay Daniels is in theory to Washington.
02:19He's your franchise quarterback, make it a hundred million dollars.
02:22And as he goes, you go.
02:24So everyone that's yelling and screaming about, Oh, I can't believe they didn't take Jay Daniels out.
02:29Are you also screaming that Seattle should have taken out Sam Donald?
02:33Cause I don't hear anybody saying that.
02:34They're not saying that.
02:35And then I'll do you one better.
02:36Cause I went back in and looked at a bunch of their games when Washington had a 34 to 10 lead against the Raiders this year.
02:44They didn't take out Marcus Mariota.
02:46Nope.
02:47They left them in the whole game.
02:47And by the way, if Marcus Mariota had gone down, you're on your third string quarterback.
02:51Pretty important to keep that dude standing upright, right?
02:53Yeah.
02:54How about when they beat the Giants 21 to six and they're up by double digits late in the fourth quarter?
02:59Did they take Jay Daniels out of that game?
03:01No, no.
03:02How about when they were up 27 to 10, uh, in a game earlier this year, did they take him out of 17 in the fourth quarter?
03:08No, because we don't do that in the NFL.
03:12Did San Francisco yesterday in a blowout win final score is not indicative of how much that was a blowout against the Giants.
03:19They controlled the whole game.
03:20Did San Francisco take Christian McCaffrey out of the game in the fourth quarter or was he getting carries in the fourth quarter?
03:27He was getting carries in the fourth quarter, but the argument just be,
03:30is, is we don't do this.
03:32You said, because we don't take players out.
03:34We don't do it.
03:35And there's no expectation that we do.
03:37But is that a good enough argument?
03:39It is a good enough argument because this is not the NBA.
03:42This is a league where our star players play essentially to the bitter end.
03:47All right.
03:47Yep.
03:48Essentially to the bitter end.
03:49I know there's examples of guys coming out last drive of the game.
03:53You're hearing that.
03:54Maybe even two drives like Saquon, you know, last year against the Giants.
03:57You know, and then blow out playoff wins.
03:59But, you know, you're going for a Super Bowl in that spot, right?
04:02And there's nothing else to gain by him being in there.
04:04But starting quarterbacks essentially never come out of football games, no matter what the score is.
04:11Correct?
04:12Correct.
04:13I'll give you another example.
04:14Matthew Stafford.
04:16Damn near 40 years old.
04:17Matthew Stafford in a game 34 to 10.
04:21The Rams were up against the Saints.
04:23And oh, by the way, it was 27 to 10 in the third quarter.
04:27They shut the Saints out in the second half.
04:29Did Matthew Stafford come out?
04:31No.
04:31No.
04:32He's had neck problems, back problems, shoulder problems.
04:34The guy's been the walking wounded.
04:36Yes, thumbs.
04:36He's broken all his fingers.
04:37And it's almost like a microcosm, in my opinion at least, of what's wrong with society.
04:42We all got soft.
04:44We all got woke.
04:46Wah!
04:47The starting quarterback got hurt.
04:49I feel for Jaden Dams.
04:50I do.
04:50I feel for Washington.
04:52It is not going to be a repeat of last year's run to the NFC Championship game.
04:57But I'm not going to throw the head coach under the bus and say that he performed malpractice
05:03because his franchise quarterback is trying to bring his team back.
05:07It wasn't going to happen.
05:09We all know that.
05:10But what message do you send to the other star players on Washington last night if you pull
05:17the quarterback out?
05:18You've now told your team it's acceptable to quit.
