Two British nationals arrested on suspicion of murder in train stabbing incident, UK police explains

British Transport Police have ruled out terrorism as a motive behind Saturday evening's train stabbing incident which injured 11 people, nine of them critically. Investigations with the two arrested suspects are ongoing to discover the motives behind the attack.

00:00UK police have ruled out terrorism as a motive in Saturday evening's train-stabbing attack,
00:06which hospitalized 11 people, 9 with critical injuries.
00:10British Transport Police declared a major incident yesterday.
00:15Encounter-terrorism policing were initially supporting our investigation.
00:19However, at this stage, there is nothing to suggest that this is a terrorist incident.
00:24Two men were arrested when armed police responded to the scene at Huntingdon Station
00:29where the train made an emergency stop.
00:32The two men who remain in police custody were identified as 32- and 35-year-old British nationals
00:38born in the UK of Black Caribbean descent.
00:41They were arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.
00:45There was quite a few people coming through, Coach G,
00:48and one of the people that were coming through had my headphones on
00:53then heard them say, they've got an eye, I've been stabbed.
00:58The train departed Doncaster and was en route to London when the attack occurred.
01:03Investigations into the incident are still ongoing
01:05as police look to discover the motivations behind the attack.
