Migrant worker groups rallied outside Taiwan’s labor ministry in Taipei to protest restrictions on how long they can stay in the country and limits based on age. Demonstrators also demanded the government take action on high broker fees that workers must pay to change employers. The labor ministry said these fees are not part of regular charges and urged workers to report abuses through the 1955 hotline.
