00:00so we all love professional wrestling i believe that's why we are here today but let's face it
00:04if you are going to have dozens and dozens of programs every single year eventually a story
00:10will come across your eyes and make you go well this is absolute pants to the what culture team
00:14as well as i simon miller the bald a-hole have sat down and we have gone all the way from 1989
00:20to 2025 to determine what the worst wrestling story every year was now of course you will have
00:26different opinions to this so please do subscribe and then leave a comment below and remember you
00:31have to get bad wrestling to enjoy good wrestling that's science and if you weren't taught about
00:35that in college or something has gone wrong now sit down buckle up it's time to go number 1989 hulk
00:42hogan versus zeus so 1989 is actually a tremendous year for professional wrestling so this one was
00:48actually a bit of a challenge i mean you have the amazing animosity between rick flair and terry funk
00:52rick flair also goes against ricky steamboat over and over again the great mooter finds sting and
00:57they tear it up and of course the mega powers explode you also get strike force breaking up
01:01the midnight express heel turn and rick rude showing he knew what he was doing he got a fantastic match
01:07out of the ultimate warrior so it was actually very good stuff that you should go back and watch today
01:11until you come across hulk hogan's feud with the man named zeus now we do have to give zeus some props
01:17because he was a non-wrestler portrayed by actor tiny lister and this was all off the back of the movie no
01:22holds barred that was essentially a vehicle to try and get hulk hogan into hollywood i can tell you
01:27this now although i'm sure you do know it didn't work zeus played the bad guy in the film and i have
01:32seen this i'm trying to be nice let's just say it's not good screw that's terrible of course the world
01:38wrestling federation as they were known wanted to get as much promotional material out there so why
01:42not do a match on summer slam that led to hogan and brutus beefcake taking on zeus and randy savage
01:48and all i need to tell you is to go and watch this and also listen to what the build was we
01:53will put a non-wrestler in a match with hulk hogan because we'd like to sell some tickets to the cinema
01:58i do want to give zoo some props because given his experience i actually think he did quite well
02:02but the feud in general was totally naff mostly because if you did go and see the movie after this
02:07you kind of felt like the wool had been pulled over your eyes i also wouldn't say that vince mcmahon
02:12would call this the peak of his creative powers i mean it was marketing man but it also goes to show
02:17they've been doing this for years remember that damian priest the miz zombie stuff yep it was
02:22nothing new but 1990 the black scorpion only anderson was a weird guy in more modern times he was known
02:29as being pretty miserable which of course he's allowed to be and if you actually watch his
02:32matches you will find one of the most calculating heels of all time i mean he really would get deep
02:37down and nasty which made it even more intriguing when he became a booker and decided he was into goofy
02:43wrestling for life and i love goofy wrestling for life but what he did in 1990 well it didn't work
02:48now anderson took over the creative side of wcw in 1990 and almost instantly introduced us to the black
02:55scorpion this would be a man under a mask who would go after sting and also had a very distinctive voice
03:00you do have to throw that in there because do you know who was behind this it was ole anderson which
03:05kind of makes me think this is why he brought it to life to begin with for a bit of trivia as well
03:09anderson was also responsible for the shock master which again kind of sums all this up but this
03:14story was absolute pet for some reason the black scorpion was totally focused on sting and to try
03:20and get into the icon's head he would play tricks on audience members and over and over again in some
03:25pretty lame segments just say oh man that sting absolutely sucks of course when they wrote this
03:30down on paper they had no idea what the reveal was going to be but eventually it was just rick flair
03:35why was it rick flair well i don't know i can't tell you even though this happened years ago now
03:40rick flair has actually pushed back on that many a time and said under the hood was meant to be al
03:44perez i don't want to be disrespectful to alan here but if we hadn't done that well you probably
03:49would have got no pop at all all this should really tell you is that world championship wrestling
03:53business was dire at the time and if this was the idea to try and get them out of this pit but it
03:58was terribly bad if i were to hazard a guess it's likely wcw trying to copy the then wwf what also gets
04:04that part over is that ole saw rick flair as nothing more than an entertainer why the hell
04:08would you want that guy at the top of your cards and then he put rick flair back at the top of the
04:12card this was dumb man really really dumb number 1991 hulk hogan vs sergeant slaughter so this is
04:19the first one you probably remember very well and that's because it was terrible i've said that a lot
04:23already i'll try and calm it down what it did do was just show that wwf got too big for their boots
04:28sometimes and decided their audience would ingest anything they gave them that's not true we can be a
04:33discerning bunch and if you are going to tie things into real life activities well you better
04:38tiptoe around them then it's not what the world wrestling federation did now before we get into
04:42this we do have to shout out the matcher man randy savage who took on the ultimate warrior at the 1991
04:47raw rumble he was so damn good in this match coming across as some sort of insane person that when
04:52sergeant slaughter won the belt from the ultimate warrior thanks to randy everybody believed it he went
04:57out of his way to make sure this was going to work from here though the whole thing totally explodes
05:01because yes vince mcmahon decided that as the iraqi war was happening in real time we should
05:06probably do a storyline on that as well and given that slaughter was now the wwf champion
05:11he became an iraqi sympathizer who would even burn hulk hogan t-shirts the only reason i throw that in
05:17is because originally mcmahon wanted sarge to burn the american flag and thank goodness he said no that
05:22would have made this even worse now once again the gulf war was ongoing as we did this meaning there were
05:27real world casualties and in no universe should you ever tie that into a storyline you're trying
05:32to tell on professional wrestling television of course everybody assumed that this would pack the
05:36rafters seeing that the immortal hulk hogan would be defending america against the evil enemy but that
05:41didn't work and actually the wwf had to move venues because nobody wanted to buy a ticket it also
05:47felt pretty desperate because before this the world wrestling federation had been pretty creative
05:51and it's all about the numbers wrestlemania 5 drew about 767 000 buyers on pay-per-view
05:57wrestlemania 6 did about 560 000 and as for this wrestlemania well it did around about 400 000
06:03so nobody wanted to pay to watch sergeant slaughter lose and in fact they were quite offended by this
06:08it's one of the most ridiculous things the wwf has ever done so hopefully we never do it again
06:12if you have genuine tragedy happening on planet earth or don't try and monetize it seems to make
06:17sense to me number 1992 the ultimate warrior versus papa shungo so the ultimate warrior appealed to
06:22the younger demographic for a few very specific reasons he was stupidly energetic and had that
06:27amazing entrance where he just ran to the ring like a loon and he shook the ropes a lot of course kids
06:31are gonna like that that's what they would do he also had a great power game when he was in the
06:35ring and would just throw people around the place and look at his absolutely cool ring gear and the
06:40stuff he used to paint on his face if you were going to draw a cartoon wrestler in your school book
06:44you would probably draw someone like the ultimate warrior i think jim hellwig did such a good job
06:48with him that it would be a struggle for anybody else to actually step into these shoes it's not
06:52like it was a one-of-a-kind character but he just understood what made it tick of course this all
06:56went down when wwf was obsessed with gimmicks as well which is when we also had papa shango and the
07:02only way i can think to describe him is he was a dude that liked to do voodoo and kind of wore a mask
07:07the 1992 angle was so bad it's basically infamous these days but yes given he did have powers papa
07:13shango cast a spell on warrior that made him have a vomit fit as green stuff started to come out of
07:19his mouth the problem is it kind of looked like cream corn even more so because the warrior started
07:24to shake violently as if somebody was trying to throttle him in another segment shango's curse
07:29also caused a runny black liquid to cascade down warrior's face it just looked like his mascara was
07:34running so it was totally hokey nonsense which i'm not against but again execution is everything
07:38and this one did not work at all and kind of took the ultimate warrior character and flushed him down
07:44the toilet charles wright who played papa shango has also come out and said yeah we shouldn't have done
07:49that and really after this there was a lot of rehabbing for both of these guys nobody was going
07:53to believe in voodoo and also what was the end game and if papa shango did have this magic why didn't
07:59he use in every single match nobody knows because there's no answer lex luger versus yokozuna in 1993
08:05so in 1993 the wwf was in a strange position commercially things had gone down the business
08:10wasn't as hot as it was and vincent man realized that hulkamania may not be immortal and it was
08:15time to change things at the top of the card now interestingly one of the hot feuds of this year
08:19was brathart versus jerry lawler that had seen an uptick in business but of course brathart didn't
08:23have muscles like say lex luger so vince looked over at lex and decided you know what you can be my brand
08:30new hulk hogan now the issue here is that before all this lex was portraying the narcissist and rather
08:34come up with some great idea to turn him into his own unique baby phase yes he was told just be hulk
08:40hogan and that didn't work he didn't play to lex's strengths it also meant that he traveled the usa in
08:45the lex express which was just a massive bus and he slammed yokozuna on the uss intrepid because for
08:51some reason vincent man thought that would be great for ratings it was all a big build to the summerslam
08:55pay-per-view where everyone presumed that lex luger would become the wwf champion when during this it
09:00became very clear that the crowd wasn't taking to luger as much as people had hoped when it probably
09:05would have helped if he had a single match on raw but instead he was in that bus that was a really
09:09weird move so as we would see many a time after this management did get cold feet and you know how
09:14lex luger won at that pay-per-view well he did beat yokozuna by count out but if you win by count out
09:20you failed to win the world title and yet for some reason luger celebrated like he had that's what he was
09:25told to do there was no coming back he was never gonna become the next hulk hogan it was just so
09:30damn weird that man thought this was the best way to try and make it happen and really you should have
09:34just done lex luger versus bret hart there and gone with the fans but if nothing else it kind of took
09:39lex luger away from the main event ww picture forever we just overthought it to be completely
09:43honest with you there was not a good idea doink versus jerry lawler in 1994. so this is absolutely
09:49hilarious because in the same year you did get this feud and you got bret hart versus owen hart
09:54in many ways we should tip our caps to the world wrestling federation they really were giving us
09:58a dessert cart of entertainment as we have brought it up as well make sure you see brett versus owen
10:03today because it's an absolute master class even though vince kind of fought this because he didn't
10:07believe that brothers would fight bruce pritchell has told that story kind of makes me very confused
10:12it also tied into long-term booking as well because we were going to turn owen hart heel and he was going
10:17to have just a case for doing this so how on earth did we also get jerry lawler versus doink that was
10:22essentially an embarrassing unfunny prank based storyline now once again it's important to note
10:26that this was not the clown that was played by matt ball which is genuinely scary it was the doink
10:31that was just meant to be a legit clown that i guess went to kids parties to earn money on the side
10:36so the overall goal to all of this is that lawler would get a taste of his own medicine because of
10:40course he would sit on tv every single week and roast everybody with comedy insults but it was hard to
10:45really get behind a clown doing this because he looked like a kids tv show character it's actually not so
10:50bad if you do watch it week to week until you get to the survivor series there we did have the raw
10:55family which was jerry lawler queasy cheesy and sleazy defeating clowns are us which is dink the clown
11:01doink the clown pink the clown and wink the clown now i am laughing as i am telling you this but the
11:05whole thing is basically insulting because it's a bunch of little wrestlers that just fall over all
11:09the time as if you were watching some kind of a cartoon if nothing else it kind of feels like
11:13vince remand just did this to make himself chuckle and also goes down on the same card as the
11:17undertaker versus undertaker that hasn't actually aged very well at all but it is miles better than
11:22this you don't have to worry with all the stuff that came beforehand just watch the survivor series
11:26match and get back to me i strongly think that you will agree well let's move on to 1995 this
11:31hulk hogan versus the giant anytime you mention the early years of hulk hogan in wcw you have to talk
11:36about the dungeon of doom this was some of the funniest stuff that world champs of wrestling has ever
11:40done when hulk got transported to some sort of alternative dimension touched a waterfall before
11:45exclaiming huh the water's not hot i cannot explain to you what he meant by this and this
11:50happened a long old time ago the dungeon of doom was also out there to kill hulkamania as they told
11:55us over and over again it was actually quite good when we did draw a line under this because now we
11:59could move on to something else sadly that was everything between hulk and the giant and this in
12:03many ways may have been stranger still a fair play to the dungeon of doom because they had predicted
12:07that a giant would be the end of hulk hogan when we got to halloween havoc 1995 and yes the giant did
12:13indeed beat hulk hogan it all came after jimmy hart turned on hogan when he hit him with the title
12:17belt and joined up with the doom and yes the giant then put hulk in a bear hug and he was assisted by
12:23the yeti which is when randy savage came to the ring to save hogan as did lex luger but lex luger turned
12:28on savage by attacking him and then he put hogan in the torture rack don't worry if you're not following
12:32this it's absolute nonsense the giant then took the belt from the referee because as jimmy did reveal
12:37he had put a clause in the contract that the title could change hands on a dq a week later however the giant was
12:42stripped of the title because of the disqualification once again i'm laughing even though you can't see
12:47my face this was utterly stupid the best part to all of this is that we had a monster truck contest
12:51in the build-up to all of this where one car was decked out in giant colors and the other was hulk
12:56hogan's guess who won this that's right it was hulk because even when doing a monster truck smash-up
13:01hulk hogan couldn't say no that doesn't work for me brother the giant also fell off the roof of kobo
13:06hall during all of this and i'm not joking even though wcw sounded like he had died but it turned out
13:12he was perfectly fine so once again there are no worse stories in 1995 than this it was bottom
13:17of the barrel bad fake razor and fake diesel in 1996. so the best part about this was jim ross
13:23as would become the occasional norm vince mcmahon would throw jr into an on-screen storyline and
13:29here he was mad at the boss annoyed with the constant bullying apparently his revenge was to
13:33bring back razor ramon and diesel this of course was a big deal because scott hall and kevin nash had
13:38recently jumped ship to wcw it also made a huge splash over there so the thought they could come
13:42back was huge i mean what on earth had happened fans bought into it as well because the internet
13:47wasn't a big thing at all and man were they disappointed because this was all nonsense man
13:52had essentially decided the performers themselves don't matter it's the gimmick therefore rick
13:56bogner and glenn jacobs can portray razor and diesel no one will care it's incorrect because people
14:02really cared there was instant backlash to this because the audience felt duped in the wrong way
14:07this made sense it was basically a lie and even trying to swing it as jr's vengeance didn't work
14:11it was obvious what happened here do not underestimate how genuine people took this either
14:16even wcw freaked out and increased the money in the deals of hall and nash which also made no sense
14:22i don't think they understood how contract law worked poor bogner had his career ruined over this
14:27too and thank goodness glenn jacobs found kane i don't think he was going to be long for this
14:31wrestling world either that's how awful this was utterly terrible hulk hogan versus roddy piper in
14:371997. it's important to note that when hulk hogan first joined wcw the old school feuds were on fire
14:43his debut pay-per-view against rick flair shattered records as world championship wrestling realized
14:47vince mcmahon was incorrect these dudes aren't washed up fans are still invested it justified the money they
14:53threw at hulk instantly that was not true come 1997. it's nobody's fault and just life being life but
14:59wcw just would not accept this it's why the nwo never died the powers that be were so scared to
15:05get rid of what was once their cash cow and ultimately it was a silly decision the company
15:09was still on fire in 1997 though so they felt taking hollywood hogan and ronnie piper and reigniting a
15:15feud from mid-80s would be excellent to be fair it had worked a year prior but there's the issue
15:21stopped going back to the same well after it began piper knew he needed some backup given the nwo would
15:26be sniffing around so he created the family it's a terrible name for a wrestling stable he then
15:32fought potential recruits to test their worth before picking john tenter the former earthquake
15:36and roadblock it was all a ruse too because a week later he dumped them and aligned himself
15:42with the four horsemen meaning everything you'd seen on that last night was pointless it also
15:46told you after a few days roddy decided his original team sucked good for them i suppose it then
15:52fell hard there is the real beef between piper and hogan sort of became who is the better actor
15:56when roddy went off to alcatraz to train many people looked off into the distance and wondered what the
16:01hell is happening you should absolutely go and watch the vignettes for this because they are so damn
16:06corny but yeah given we are talking about two greats here wasn't good wasn't good at all hawk's
16:11personal issues in 1998 sometimes you just need to leave real life at the door wrestling is at its best
16:17when you blur the lines but it's also the most important of the least important things nothing is
16:21worth dragging somebody's true issues onto tv and yeah that's what the wwf did in 1998 with hawk
16:27it started after the road war is rebranded to lod 2000 because the millennium was nigh an animal
16:32at least felt like a new recruit would keep them relevant therefore droz was brought on board and
16:37this annoyed hawk he didn't like it felt like he was being forced out it was soon made clear that
16:41this was due to everything he was experiencing outside the ring and it was just awful we call it a
16:47story but it wasn't it was just michael hegstrand essentially laying his soul bare why did we do
16:52this the bottom of the barrel was when he climbed up the titantron seemingly to end it all and droz
16:56tried to save him we then saw a silhouette fall to their demise i'm sure you can figure it out the
17:01cliffhanger was did droz just kill a man it's just drivel i tell you it was so so bad of course all of
17:06this would catch up to hawk eventually which made it even worse don't do this if somebody needs help get
17:12them help don't wheel it out on television the higher power in 1999 there is an upside to this
17:18because we still quote it today it was me austin it was me all along this is pretty funny these were
17:23the iconic words vincent mann shouted as he unveiled himself as the higher power and revealed that wwe
17:28had pushed hard it was why the corporation and the ministry had joined forces so this individual was
17:33gonna have mad power whoever it was could then feud with austin too that was needed fresh blood and then
17:39we did the most bog standard choice ever when you may as well have come out and said it's all a dream
17:43it also made no sense because the undertaker who was the head of the team had done nothing but
17:48torment the mcmahons including kidnapping daughter stephanie and hanging her from a giant cross do not
17:53get it wrong this was totally screwed up vince even went begging to stone cold to save his family which
17:58he did we were being asked to believe that the man was simultaneously setting these traps
18:02and stopping them just to get under austin's skin it did not work the fans felt let down too and
18:07some of the rumored names were way better short michaels was brought up all the time and there's
18:12that christopher daniels murmur and sure he wasn't the biggest guy but he would know how to play this
18:16role nope go away jay roberts's name even got thrown in because people were excited about this so when it
18:21was the same old same old i mean there was a genuine deflation in the room it was soon mostly forgotten
18:26about as well and just remind you if you're gonna have a mystery you need to know who it is from day one
18:31this was such a waste of time who ran over stone cold in 2000 i mean what did we just say
18:37it sort of felt like when steve austin did get run over at the 1999 survivor series the wwf once
18:43again didn't have a choice in mind they had time they could wing it you can't do that and the
18:47cliffhanger itself was fine stone cold needed neck surgery so you may as well write him off tv in grand
18:53fashion and yeah a whodunit works could pick somebody and make them a star give the rattlesnake a first
18:59feud as soon as he returns well the ww have tried i'm not sure they got it right it was commissioner
19:04mick foley who started the investigation and of course he smashed this made it fun in the right
19:09way and people did want to see where it was going to go i think we were mostly fine as well with
19:13rikishi being the culprit as long as the follow-up stayed strong here come those words again it did
19:18not because rather than come out and say this was him taking his shot he dedicated his attempted murder
19:23to the rock so instantly put himself in an underlink position the people's champ then told big
19:27quiche he wanted nothing to do with this idiot the strike two the promo where rikishi said he did it for
19:32darock then went off for the wrong reasons when it wasn't clicking the wwf kind of hit the racism
19:37card quiche felt like rocky wasn't getting the right opportunities due to his race the problem
19:42being the great one was already a multi-time world champion by this point whoops it went so off the
19:46rails vincent man basically kicked rikishi to the curb and just went you know what it was triple h
19:51pulling the strings instead it was also the end of rikishi's main event push he never really recovered
19:55to be honest this was the end don't forget as well austin then came back and dropped triple h from
20:01mccrane as the game was in a car hunter didn't even have a scratch on him this really did get
20:06pretty weird the invasion in 2001 because it was just mishandled if you want the headlines i would
20:12say the vincent man could not get over how much he hated wcw so even though we did get the inter
20:18promotional story world championship wrestling were forced like idiots the whole time that doesn't work
20:23because the invading company has to start off strong otherwise there's no threat just a bunch of
20:27jabronis we also didn't get the major stars needed to make this the dream fans had wanted so there was
20:32an air of disappointment pretty fast now hogan sting bischoff goldberg nash hall they'd all come in
20:38eventually with rick flair literally walking in the day after the invasion angle was over felt like a
20:43slap in the face and that's not to take away anything from booker t lance storm or ddp but take the
20:48latter two the wwe double answers boring and made page a heel who stalked the undertaker's wife talk about
20:55being miscast ecw was stuck in there too as they became the alliance but those guys suffered the
21:00same fate although even then the fans flocked to this pay-per-view the invasion show did 775 000
21:06buys which was wrestlemania levels afterwards people were sad however because look at the main event
21:11teams team alliance was littered with wwf guys summed it up i don't think vincent man would do it any
21:17differently today either because that wasn't the point take wrestlemania 31 even then sting was getting
21:22his ass kicked by triple h because wcw can listen to commentary for proof of that despite buying
21:28the competition he never really got over it katie vick in 2002 i think i could just say those words
21:34and move on forget worst story of the year this is one of the worst angles of all time and totally
21:40tasteless every time we talk about this i always ask myself the same question who was this for and if
21:46somebody did tune back in for it what on earth was wrong with them i would actually rather those
21:50individuals never watched again but yes as the agent era came to an end vince mcmahon felt the
21:55way to save it was to push the envelope as hard as possible i guess he then went to his book of
21:59ideas and realized hey we've never done necrophilia he decided to change that good grief it all began
22:06with triple h calling out kane because he knew the truth in his younger years he had driven drunk
22:10crashed his car killed his girlfriend and then defiled the corpse i'm sorry i don't want to say these
22:15words you can get mad at them they did it it then got even worse as we then shot a scene in a real
22:20funeral parlor with hunter pretending to hump a fake dead body and the absolute lowest point is
22:26apparently there was an actual funeral happening in the next room they told the ww to quiet it down
22:31i stopped watching for a while after this you're probably not surprised triple h versus booker t in
22:352003 if booker t had won at wrestlemania 19 it may have been a different story i can understand doing a
22:41heinous angle where the bad guy gets theirs in the end but with this no triple h beat booker t at the
22:47show of shows and everybody was confused it's not like booker wasn't ready to be the world champion
22:52in wwe either dude had busted his ass of course the other issue was this narrative had racism
22:57underpinging the whole thing and wrestling is terrible with this stuff there's no nuance no
23:01sensitivity you just go in with a sledgehammer ironically and forget that this sort of stuff
23:05is important also made booker losing even worse hence it being here in the list it was such
23:10lines as you people and some awful insinuations about booker t's hair that made people raise an
23:15eyebrow and as above just stay away from it if you're not going to get the right message across
23:20this was not good at all the real bad cherry on top was that after the game hit the pedigree
23:24took about three years to cover booker t which made it even more ridiculous why even bother trying
23:29to get the baby face over i suppose the truth is triple h didn't need more heat booker t needed a
23:35win it's only fair to say booker himself has said he had no problem with this and his opinion counts
23:39more than mine but still there was something off about the whole thing kane lita and matt hardy
23:44in 2004 this one is so screwed up i feel like i need to send out a trigger warning if you want to
23:50skip to the next entry i get it like we just said some things need to be kept away from wrestling
23:55forever i will do my best to be conservative with it but yes in 2004 the wwe heavily implied
24:01that kane had had his way with lita in a forcible way this ended in unwanted pregnancy so straight
24:07off the bat garbage utter garbage who wants us on monday night raw i genuinely believe the
24:12gobbledygooku was better it then fell off the cliff as the powers that be sanctioned a match between
24:16kane and lita's then boyfriend matt hardy and if the big red machine won he would get to marry lita
24:22because why on earth would she ever get a say in the matter he won of course and none of this could
24:26have been taken seriously but the energy of the whole thing was horrible and then somehow it dropped
24:32further because after gene snitsky had collided into kane and knocked him into lita she apparently
24:37suffered a miscarriage because that's what millions of people want when watching a show to escape
24:41real life just whacking them in the face wwe then actually tried to turn kane babyface because he too
24:47had lost a child you know what let's just leave it there there's a reason i was checked out in 2004 and
24:52stuff like this was right up there it's just in such bad taste i would give you the headline that does
24:57sum it up the whole year was a financial disaster for the company gee i wonder why cut angle versus
25:02booker t in 2005. so yes you could also throw everything with muhammad asan in there because
25:07it was disgraceful however because that has been talked about over and over again i felt like we
25:12should go in a different direction because it wasn't just that angle that wwe was absolutely
25:16going nuts within 2005 we also had the feud between cut ankle and booker t but the whole thing
25:21was based on the fact that angle had a psychosexual fixation on booker t's wife charmel and yes you heard
25:26me i said that correctly the subject matter to say the least was very questionable what i would
25:31never understand is that booker t and cut angle were both brilliant at being idiots outside the
25:35ring and absolute savants in it so why on earth didn't we just make this thing a little bit daft
25:40instead angle was booked to sexually harass intimidate and even assault charmel
25:44with whom i'm quoting here he wanted to have bestiality sex with i mean the implication of that
25:50particular line is absolutely grotesque so once again it was just pushing out the boat to see what
25:54they could get away with and nobody could watch this and think it was actually good in fact it
25:58just came across like the ww didn't know what they were doing just wanted to make a lot of noise and
26:03believe you me as this one does go under the radar if you do go and watch it well you will not believe
26:08it even angle came out afterwards that said yeah not particularly fond of it don't take a genius
26:12degeneration x versus mr command in 2006 so if you're of a certain age seeing degeneration x get back
26:18together was probably the greatest time of your life the issue is you go back to it now and well it's
26:23pretty much stupid and the whole feud with mr mcmahon is over cocks that's right and they were
26:29referring to penises there's no other way i can say it it meant this whole program was all about dx
26:34pranking vince mcmahon usually by pouring poop over him and yes once again you heard that right before
26:39the spirit squad got involved and dx beat them up and send them back to ovw what a great way to get
26:43them over they would then insinuate that vince mcmahon was a homosexual and yes continually go on about how
26:49much he loves cocks i mean you wouldn't do this today because you get kicked off air and you probably
26:53should have been kicked off there back then too the whole time as well everybody was wink wink nudge
26:56nudging at the camera because we're not talking about that area and we are talking about the animal
27:01even though no they were talking about dicks excuse me it just kind of felt like triple h and
27:05sean michaels felt like they could do whatever they wanted i suppose they had earned that right
27:09in terms of something you're watching on tv i mean no it wasn't the best vince mcmahon's illegitimate
27:14son in 2007. so let's not forget that in june 2007 the mr mcmahon character was meant to be killed
27:19off and that would lead to a whodunit the very next day we learned about the chris benoit murder
27:24suicide tragedy and that was so awful the plan was abandoned it was the correct move to make vince
27:29still wanted something grand to happen to him though so he sat down and came up with some ideas
27:33namely that he should have an illegitimate son i mean essentially he was just trying to write soap operas
27:38here now if we do jump into the rumor mill this was all meant to be a vehicle for ken kennedy
27:43before he got himself into so much trouble and ran foul of john cena and randy orton they didn't
27:48much like him they thought he was unsafe worker he did get fired so all of a sudden there was a slot
27:53open i can only imagine that vince decided nobody else could possibly step into this or he didn't
27:57want to push them to begin with so he would hit a button that he often did during this period
28:01which was somebody get on the phone and call hornswoggle that's right swoggs jumped out from under the ring
28:06and said oh my gosh i am your daddy we just made some noises because he couldn't usually talk and vince
28:11a man acted like this was the worst moment of his life triple h was there for some reason too
28:15he chuckled away and all of this was played for laughs even though at first it was meant to be a
28:20very serious storyline if nothing else it took up weeks of tv and by the end of it we had nothing
28:26because yes it was haha he he i'm just gonna keep repeating what i've said is the best way to do it
28:31it was a giant waste of time it was almost like we wanted to have a second shane mcmahon but you
28:36already had a shane mcmahon at home cm punk's world heavyweight championship arc in 2008.
28:41so let me get this straight before we get into this cm punk absolutely should have been the world
28:45heavyweight champion in 2008. from the moment he debuted on tv you could just tell he had something
28:50different and the fans gravitated towards him because the wwe did want to push a new face he was
28:56the guy this actually did happen on the june 30th 2008 raw because punk as a babyface cashed in his
29:02money the bank contract and beat downhill edge and everybody was pretty pumped about this after
29:07all edge had been running around calling himself the ultimate opportunist so a smart good guy just
29:11got one over on him of course from this moment on wwe did that thing they loved to do when even though
29:16they had given him an important championship he never headlined one single pay-per-view i mean when
29:21you watch this era you can just hear ww screaming listen we were very happy to give him this trinket
29:26but in terms of seeing him as a proper headliner nope that's not for us i mean really it was the start of
29:31why cm punk would get so mad at wwe in the first place because it was like being given a qatar
29:36but all of a sudden all the strings were taken off what the flub do you want me to do with this
29:40he then went to a double dq finish against batista at the great american bash and while he did defeat
29:44jbl at summerslam that was slap bang in the middle of the card and i tell you they were two strong
29:50talkers and wwe didn't lean into that at all what summed this up is how he lost that championship
29:55because he didn't actually get pinned instead there was meant to be a scramble match at unforgiven
30:00and for some reason he was taken out of this thing meaning a bunch of other competitors fought
30:04over his title and then walked away with it to this day i don't really understand what the company
30:08was trying to do but yeah if you're wondering why punk was still pissed off by 2011 go watch this
30:14piggy james in 2009 so once again this goes down to the fact that sometimes wwe is so ill-equipped
30:20to handle a sensitive storyline that it just comes across as absolute crass this is one of the more
30:25famous ones because in 2009 the unit of michelle mccall and layla mocked mickey james and started
30:31to call her fat now i need to make it very clear mickey was not overweight at all and in fact was in
30:37fantastic shape but i suppose somebody had come up with the nickname piggy james and they were desperate
30:41to get it on tv you also had lay cool as they were known dressing up in inflatable pig costumes and yes
30:47they took mickey's face and stuck cake in there because she loved sugary treats now once again if james
30:52had somehow triumphantly prevailed over the bullying this would have been fine but that didn't really
30:56happen either i mean mickey did defeat mccall for the women's title the royal rumble 2010 but it was
31:01a 22nd match man it didn't really do anything for anyone also four weeks later guess what happened
31:07that's right michelle won the championship back so mickey james had that title for 25 days lots of
31:13people have brought this up today and i think wwe actually apologized to mickey james over this i mean
31:18she is a hall of famer legendary performer and you put her in skits like this was not good it was not
31:23fun and actually if you were being bullied in your real life it probably hit you hard man i understand
31:29that we could never go back to this it was basically objectifying her kane versus the undertaker in 2010
31:35let's make it very clear that when they did clash heads for the first time at wrestlemania 20
31:39the kane versus undertaker storyline was absolutely brilliant it changed the game and even though i was
31:45but a fetus oh my gosh i love this so much it made me happy years later they were at it again and as
31:50always the reason it didn't work is because it was 2010 it started when kane accused ray mysterio of
31:56injuring undertaker so badly that he had entered a vegetative state and of course it was actually the
32:01big red machine that was the perpetrator this was then revealed at summerslam with the undertaker going
32:05after his brother and listen i suppose the matches were okay but no that's not entirely true they
32:11were just a bit drab i think what really pushed it off the ledge is that after three matches paul
32:15bearer turned heel on the undertaker and we had just done that so many times in 2010 people were
32:21mostly desperate for new stars but instead we had gone back to something from 1998 and it just wasn't
32:26as good so i understand nostalgia but you got to make sure the quality of your product is up there so
32:31you can actually probably find worse in this 12-month period but again it was kane and the undertaker man
32:37just made you expect it so much more the summer of punk in 2011 so the cm punk pipe bomb promo is
32:43one of the most important talking things that wwe has ever done it's probably a more poetic way to
32:48say that but i've done it now so let's move on the way that he spoke all of this though just made it
32:52sound like he meant every single word that's probably because he did he wanted wwe to change
32:57now of course it's never going to happen because it was part of the storyline but if the goal here was
33:02to turn cm punk into a proper main eventer then man somebody took a bat and smashed the home run
33:07it actually got people interested in wrestling again they wanted to see where this was gonna go
33:12well it turned out in the toilet because even though punk did win the wwe title at money the bank that
33:17year when he defeated john cena and then left the company everything after he came back was nuts like
33:22he was only gone for two weeks wasn't enough time and then when we got to summer slam he ended up
33:27dropping that championship to alberto del rio who cashed in his money in the bank briefcase kevin
33:32nash was also involved in this too which left everybody going where the flub is cm punk fuming
33:37with kevin nash in september he was fuming with triple h who was like the brains behind all this
33:41and then a year later during the ww strike he essentially aligned with the game once again
33:46everybody was sat there scratching their heads we thought cm punk was going to be the dude and here
33:51he was kind of taking a back seat it was just an insane approach to character development because
33:56what really should have happened is that punk won that title and then he beat every single person
34:00for the rest of the year that was never going to happen because once again wwe didn't actually see
34:05him as the guy soon after this john lorionitis was installed as punk's nemesis and that just left
34:10you gasping nobody wanted to see those two promo off against each other although cm did cook him
34:16dude it was quite funny it was just a reprise of 2008 where we had everything good to go with
34:21cm punk and we just never pulled the trigger properly once again it's no wonder he got pissed
34:26off it was really quite john cena versus john lorionitis in 2012. i suppose vince mcmahon must
34:31have liked something that johnny l did during that cm punk feud though because a year later
34:35well we just threw him in there with john cena now this is no disrespect to john who is one of the
34:39greatest of all time but essentially what had happened is that he had done every single feud that
34:44ww could think of when they looked around the roster they wanted something new they saw lorionitis
34:48and thought you know what he'll do he's basically an authority figure it can be a bit like austin
34:53versus mcmahon the issue being that john lorionitis is not vince mcmahon in fact he wasn't anything
34:58close it's also such a weird timeline as well because throughout all this brock lesnar returns
35:02who cena did defeat extreme rules and then yes of course he lost to the rocket wrestlemania 29 in
35:07one of the biggest matches of the century right after this though he is going after big johnny for some
35:12reason and they actually have matches on pay-per-view some of which went above the world title bouts you can
35:18imagine how the hardcore fans felt about this it was completely wrong and the people that were
35:23holding the titles well they were marginalized because of it all to try and get john lorionitis
35:28over a lot of this was comedy as well it didn't work it's a little bit silly a little bit stupid
35:33i don't think we'd ever do it again the authority in 2013. so it all depends on how you look at this
35:38now because without it you wouldn't have got daniel bryan headlining wrestlemania 30 which is
35:42genuinely one of the coolest things that happened in the modern era the issue however of course is when
35:46you dig deep into this narrative you realize it wasn't really fiction and nobody behind the scenes
35:52wanted daniel to rise the ranks so they came up with something to tell him you're a b player nobody
35:57likes you and also we're going to take this yes chart and try and put it on the big show instead
36:02i'm not joking you can youtube this that's what they wanted to do and of course it totally failed
36:06it's why batista won the raw rumble and why randy orton versus big dave was booked for the main event
36:11of wrestlemania because they were going to put brian danielson such daniel bryan somewhere else
36:16they also shoved brian in that match with sheamus where he lost in around about 18 seconds and man
36:20was that a mistake always felt bad for sheamus because it wasn't his fault but this is when the
36:25fans did start to revolt and 12 months later well you know the rest but if you do go back and watch
36:30this now with that in your brain you will be absolutely perplexed by this they had somebody who was
36:35hot around the sun and they actually tried to put him out nikki bella versus brie bella in 2014.
36:41so the main reason we have to put this in there is because during one of their big promos
36:44nikki leaned right into her sister and screamed i wish you died in the womb i mean we're here now
36:49and there's no going back now wwe was always going to do this because they love breaking up sibling
36:54pairings and actually at first it was all right nikki was so horrible to brie bella the fans got behind
37:00brie so you did have a very standard baby face and a very standard heel i mean you could do a lot with
37:04that nikki also had a big heel turn at summer slayers we did do it on a pay-per-view but when
37:08she tried to explain her actions she said that brie had always been mean and brie had always been
37:14jealous nikki's star power was apparently way bigger than her sisters and therefore she needed
37:19to be killed or something like that once again she did want her to die before birth the funniest part
37:24is in their stipulation match nikki actually won meaning brie now needed to be her servant of course
37:30nikki then demanded that brie brought her a milkshake and she poured it over her head
37:34it was like watching wrestling from 1992 have a guess what happened when this 30-day rule was up
37:38though nothing the bellas just got back together like you hadn't seen nothing pal and if you think
37:43you heard you're totally wrong so genuinely there was no payoff there was no ending brie just got her
37:48ass whipped and then thought ah screw it let's be a tag team again it's generally quite funny sting versus
37:54triple h in 2015 now there's plenty of things you can talk about in 2015 but i simon miller a man who loves
38:00sting is never going to let this go we had waited so damn long to see the icon in wwe when all of a
38:07sudden it was happening he debuted at the 2014 survivor series and the presentation was awesome
38:11and quite clearly the long-term plan was triple h at wrestlemania that was totally fine but this
38:16probably seems unfair because of course wrestlemania goes down in april so i'm ignoring a good eight
38:20months of the year but i will never be able to fathom while one triple h won that thing by smacking
38:25sting in the head with a sledgehammer and then sting shook his hand but also two why did the nwo come
38:31to the ring and why would degeneration x there too now i'm not trying to pretend i didn't pop my
38:35socks off for this because in terms of sports entertainment it was great but the whole story
38:40in wcw had been sting was going to take down the nwo because he knew they were bad for wrestling then
38:45vince mcmahon got hold of this and decided people just want to see the famous faces so we can do whatever
38:50we want it was bad enough when wcw screwed up a starcade but now we've just done it again it was
38:55also absolutely ridiculous that sting after all this time would lose at wrestlemania especially to
39:00somebody like triple h and i've told you time and time again he was one of my favorites as a kid but
39:05he didn't need the victory here you could have got so much more out of sting being the guy with his hand
39:10raised it just felt like a slap in the face if you were a wcw nerd and we all know the deal go listen
39:15to the commentary we've talked about it once it was just vince mcmahon making sure everybody knew
39:20i bought wcw i was the victor and i'm never gonna let it go well i guess that's his prerogative but
39:26it did not make for good on-screen tv vince mcmahon vs shay mcmahon in 2016. so let's not pretend that
39:31when shay mcmahon made that surprise return in 2016 it wasn't one of the best shock pops ever people
39:37love to see this guy and i've told this story before i was cooking some egg and i dropped my frying
39:41pan on the floor i shall forever be a geek the totally strange part though comes in the form of the
39:47lockbox because vince and shane were at loggerheads once again the younger mcmahon told vince he knew
39:52what was in the lockbox and my gosh vince freaked out about this we cannot unveil this secret it
39:57will totally ruin me in the eyes of the public it all died into shane mcmahon wrestling the
40:01undertaker at wrestlemania and if the undertaker won shane mcmahon would have to give up the lockbox
40:06and if shane mcmahon won he would be in charge of raw well shane did lose he still took over the show
40:11and as for the lockbox well i can only presume we threw it into the ocean because nobody ever
40:16mentioned it again the match itself was just way too long even if shane did take one of the craziest
40:20bumps you could ever hope to see but ultimately with no real middle and no real ending well it
40:25did kind of suck and if nothing else it ruined stipulations in the company you couldn't believe
40:29a word they were gonna say because they just kept ignoring them it really was when shane took over
40:34monday nights that people rolled their eyes the whole point was he was going to be fired if he
40:38wasn't able to be victorious and then he lost and vincent mann was tired i suppose and went off
40:43me just do what you want it's almost like having a monopoly over the wrestling business is not a good
40:47idea bray white versus randy orton in 2017 so it's always important to underline how incredible bray
40:52white was for the professional wrestling industry and i don't actually think we've accepted how creative
40:57he was some of the ideas that came out of his brain well you've got to have one hell of a special mind
41:02been the firefly funhouse stuff that he would do later on and that match with john cena were absolutely
41:07brilliant and yet when he got into with randy all over the wwe title in 2017 well it was just totally
41:13bizarre i mean go and watch orton's entrance at wrestlemania 33 for some reason what looks like
41:18sperm is projected onto the ring apron now i think this was meant to be creepy crawlies or like a massive
41:24snake but it did not look like that my friend and also somehow bray then started to control this
41:30technology because he would start mucking around with it mid-match randy was supposed to be scared but then
41:35he wasn't scared which begged the question why are we doing spooky wookie if nobody is going to be
41:40spooked it also led to a house of horrors magic payback and i appreciated wwe trying something new
41:45but i'm just going to be honest with you my friends it wasn't very good i can imagine that bray
41:50white himself had a much better concept than this but it was poo-pooed by vince mcmahon it just felt
41:55like a weird slow walk and brawl it also totally screwed up whatever supernatural powers white was supposed to
42:00have because sometimes he would use them and sometimes he would forget during that house of
42:05horrors match 2 he trapped orton under a refrigerator i actually laughed when i said that and it really
42:10does make no sense randy orton and bray white should have been a program for the ages somebody ruined
42:16it i'll let you guess who natalia versus the riot squad in 2018 2018 was not a good year for wwe
42:23and actually only 2019 was worse there's reason that tony khan woke up one day and thought oh my gosh i can
42:28launch aew because he saw a hole in the market and he saw how disillusioned wrestling fans were
42:33becoming that doesn't happen by accident vince mcmahon was making loads of mistakes as well the
42:38anticipated feud between miz and daniel bryan was not handled well then daniel bryan turned heel and
42:43they broke up rusev day even though everybody was chanting the rusev day sammy zane also had to do a
42:48segment with bobby lashley's sisters that was just three guys dressed up in drag and even to this day
42:54nobody has actually explained that one i really do think that the miz versus daniel bryan should be
42:58in here as well because fans were so desperate to this after they had that falling out on talking
43:02smack and the fact that ww wasn't aware of this and just catapulted into the ground that was really
43:08disappointing the issue though is that in between all this you did have italian versus the riot squad
43:12and do you want to know what ruby wright did in october she broke a pair of sunglasses that
43:17reportedly belonged to jim the anviled night part who of course is natty's father he had passed away in
43:22august so this was already distasteful and yes when we jump to the tlc pay-per-view an image of jim was
43:27printed out and glued onto your favorite weapon it just felt a little bit cheap a little bit absurd
43:32and even though i'm sure natalia was fine with this i don't know man just felt like we were
43:36disgracing the guy's memory a little bit and there was no need to turn it into comedy didn't sit right
43:41with me anyway and also kind of summed up where the women were in 2018 they just weren't given
43:46anything to really dive into they deserved a lot more seth rons versus the fiend in 2019 we're also
43:52going to get into that time roman reigns got attacked because we don't talk about that one
43:55enough but in no universe am i going to talk about 2019 and not mention that horrendous hell
44:01in a cell match between seth rollins and the fiend and listen it wasn't their fault it was terribly
44:05booked by vince mcmahon you can google it right now you can get the reaction and all you need to
44:10know is at the end of this fans booed so badly they were absolutely enraged this was also the year
44:16that alistair black was hiding in a dark room for no reason and yes when baron corbin and
44:20dolph ziggler spent most of their time pouring dog food over roman reigns and the usos eric
44:24roan also had a pet spider and speaking of jimmy and jay they spent a lot of their time pranking
44:29the revival with usi hot which made their balls warm up let's just talk about roman because that
44:34summer the big dog was attacked by a mystery assailant and the angle was horrendous caleb
44:39raxton had to scream like this poor man was about to be killed and even though eric roan was spot at
44:44the scene he then tried to convince roman and his boss daniel bryan that he had a doppelganger
44:49so it wasn't him it was that guy and we should probably all out looking for his twin i mean what
44:53the flub are you talking about what really made it terrible is that the baby faces then sat around
44:57going oh yeah maybe this could be true so you know what let's just throw wwe in every single
45:04story in 2019 into this bucket i just said this a minute ago i do think it's the worst 12-month
45:10period that world wrestling entertainment ever booked none of it makes any sense there is quite
45:15funny as long as you take it as a comedy which it wasn't meant to be absolutely sucked the fiend
45:19teams up with alexa bliss in 2020. now actually alexa bliss in the fiend had great chemistry and
45:24this did help the alexa character so much so here we sit in 2025 and people are still waiting to see
45:30if bliss goes back to the dark side she will it will be good it just gives a little bit of edge to
45:34her character not adam copeland he went to aw the issue here is that they were taking on randy orton again
45:40and i suppose the best way to sum it up is that during a pay-per-view randy set fire to the fiend
45:45and killed him alexa bliss then walked around for a few weeks unconsolable going where is my friend
45:50i don't understand it when we got to wrestlemania as michael cole told us the fiend was about to
45:54merge from a box-like structure hilarity to randy orton actually won this match even though
46:00he had tried to kill a man it really summed up the wwe never had a clue what to do with bray
46:05wyatt and that actually he was smarter than they ever were also kind of ruined the relationship
46:09between alexa and bray because she turned on him and do you want to know why well i can't tell you
46:15because nobody told us excuse me laughing that's very unprofessional but this era of wwe was just
46:21totally insane all of the time shana basil versus lily in 2021 now really this comes down to how shana
46:27basil was always treated on the main roster because going back and watch her first year or so in nxt
46:32given that she was a legitimate mixed martial arts fighter she was put like an absolute badass
46:37and you could actually be scared of her i hate calling her the female brock lesnar but she did
46:42have the legitimacy if she was going to kick anybody's ass you go yep i believe it when all
46:46of a sudden on the may 31st 2021 wwe raw she lost a reginald somebody who at that point was being
46:52portrayed as a comedy character a lot of people raised their eyebrows well actually that was more
46:56to do what happened after this because lily who was alexa bliss's demonically possessed doll
47:01started to use her supernatural powers to scare shana basil and yes lily also decided to set off
47:07the pyrotechnics shouldn't have done that it cost a lot of money from this point on though the puppet
47:12did have their sights set on shana even to the point of making the lights go off when basil was cutting
47:17a promo and then shana would get scared and run away at one point in time too we were told that
47:22apparently the doll had killed basil or at least that was the cliffhanger we were left with the
47:26following week the issue was it wasn't scary and took somebody who should have been an effective
47:30performer and just turned them into a comedy character and again i love goofy wrestling it is
47:36for life but given that wwe never really did much with shana after this too but it did no good for
47:41anybody there were also other people on the roster that actually would have worked with alexa bliss and
47:45lily so we didn't think about this at all just pulled it out our ass the ms versus dexter loomis in
47:502022 so this is an interesting one because when dexter loomis did return to the main roster of wwe
47:56his character was a serial killer babyface although maybe he didn't murder anyone but he most definitely
48:02kidnapped the miz during raw because we saw it and nobody called the cups we just let it happen
48:08it was just so damn confusing because of course nobody liked the miz who was very good at playing
48:12the heel but who the hell was going to cheer for this loomis fella who once again had bagged the miz
48:17and dragged them off to who knows where of course it had to be a twist because when wwe struggled
48:21they always do a swerve so it turned out the miz had orchestrated the entire thing because apparently
48:27he needed the publicity dexter loomis then got mad because he hadn't been paid so it turned into a
48:32real feud and if you are now looking at the screen going is this the same wwe that would launch the
48:37bloodline soon after this yes yes it was a lot of it was pretty damn bad it was also such a strange
48:42program to book to begin with because it wasn't like dexter loomis was mega over at the time
48:47and as ever nobody benefited from this and the miz kind of floated on down the river afterwards
48:51anyway i mean what sums it up is this only happened three years ago and i bet you haven't thought about
48:56it since it didn't really leave the mark adam cole versus chris jericho in 2023 now once again this
49:02comes down to expectations because of course chris jericho is one of the best of all time and in
49:06terms of the modern era well adam cole is right up there when they both popped up in aw i think most
49:11were like oh sweet we're going to see them wrestle and then they did it culminated at double or
49:15nothing 2023 it was just a bit poor and overly long it was an unsanctioned bout as well which
49:20kind of felt like they could use bells and whistles but for some reason the emotion was taken out of
49:24this and it turned into some weird plunder match it's also totally insane because at one point sabu
49:29runs out and while he does get a terrific pop once that had calmed down you did scratch your head and
49:33pondered to yourself well why the flub did he do that to begin with and why was he backstage was never
49:39really explained it really is the finish that sent people over the moon though because honestly adam cole
49:44spends about 30 seconds hitting jericho with some of the most questionable punches and hammer fist
49:48blows you'd ever seen before the referee just stopped the match so this was a bit like seth
49:52rollins versus the fiend from 2019 if it's an unsanctioned match why is the official stepping in
49:58not entirely sure he should be doing that so it's not really as terrible as people making out to be
50:03but listen who was involved adam cole and chris jericho don't think they're ever going to do it again
50:08because of course their paths have gone in completely different directions so it really is just a bit of a
50:13shame people thought they were going to get the world and instead they basically got light popped
50:17the new elite aw takeover in 2024 now i actually thought some aspects of this were awesome especially
50:23okada joining in saying oh hi i'm going to team up with the young bucks because we're a bunch of stars
50:28perry also joined in as we know because he was going to start his bad guy run and straight away him the
50:33bucks and okada decided to attack tony khan on dynamite and write him off tv bless tony as well because he took
50:40this all the way wearing a neck brace even on nfl shows that's the kind of kayfabe we need the elite
50:45then declared they were going to take over the show and run things the problem being within weeks
50:50they weren't doing that they seemingly had no power and all of a sudden everybody just forgot about
50:54it i think one day they said they were going to change the world and then we got to dynamite and
50:58well it was being booked in the exact same as it was being done before no one ever explained why we
51:02changed tact as well it was kind of just dropped with no word and even though matthew and nicholas
51:07jackson would lean into their evp standings it didn't feel like they were any different from
51:11anybody else on the roster i mean actually they mostly fought with christopher daniels who was
51:15also an executive vice president but you could have taken away those initials and everything
51:19would have kind of been the same now i can see what aw was trying to do here in the midst of the brawl
51:24out situation but it didn't really have a start and it didn't have an ending and the middle kind
51:28of got lost in the shuffle i would presume that somebody woke up and just changed their mind
51:33but you do kind of need to tie that into tv everybody does get confused so yeah this was
51:38two plus two equals potato let's move on john cena's hill turn in 2025. so i do not agree with
51:43this one you'll know that if you watched any of my content i am totally fine getting the john
51:48cena hill term we did get as opposed to not getting one at all because that elimination
51:52chamber moment will live long in my memory i also thought some of the bad guy promo cena cut
51:56were absolutely hilarious in the right way i mean when he took down that kid my gosh i had tears
52:02in my eyes for multiple reasons of course there are multiple issues to it which many are debating
52:06today namely what the flub happened to the rock he should have been at wrestlemania given he was
52:11part of the elimination chamber turn although i totally understand if you get the opportunity
52:15to work with martin scorsese you're probably going to take it that doesn't help an audience
52:19member though who are desperate to see dwayne johnson at the show of shows even more so because
52:24travis scott came out and actually maybe he's to blame here because why the flub was he happy to help
52:29john cena at the elimination chamber and he was happy to help john cena at wrestlemania 41
52:33but from that point we never saw him again and why didn't he care where the rock was
52:37none of this makes any sense especially because as i'll be talking to you now i don't think he's
52:41ever coming back you can also tell the ww wasn't totally into this because what did we do a couple
52:46of days before summer slam we had the big chat between cody rose and john cena and after cody had
52:51talked some sense into john he just went let's forget about the last six months let's go have a terrific
52:57match we can have a good time so sure it could have been better and there are some major plot holes
53:02in this but go back and watch what did happen in that february pay-per-view my gosh it changed the
53:07world kinda that a week later it just got a bit weird i do understand the negativity towards it
53:12though although really it could tie into john cena's final run altogether have you seen how social media
53:16feels about that booking well if you don't that's something to do today let's just see where we are
53:21in december i am going to be very very intrigued now of course you are going to have different opinions
