Der neue MG IM5 ist da – eine vollelektrische Limousine mit beeindruckender 800-Volt-Technologie und bis zu 710 km Reichweite. In unserem heutigen Video stellen wir euch das neue Flaggschiff von MG vor, das mit sportlichem Design, modernem Interieur und drei starken Antriebsvarianten überzeugt: 295 PS, 408 PS und satte 752 PS mit Allrad.

Die schnellste Version beschleunigt in nur 3,2 Sekunden von 0 auf 100 km/h – ein Wert, der sonst nur Supersportwagen erreichen. Zwei Akkugrößen stehen zur Auswahl: 75 kWh für bis zu 489 km Reichweite und 100 kWh für bis zu 710 km. Dank der 800-Volt-Architektur lädt der IM5 in nur 17 Minuten von 10 auf 80 %.

Innen erwartet euch ein 26,3-Zoll-Infotainment-Display, ein zusätzlicher 10,5-Zoll-Touchscreen, ein Panoramaglasdach und ein Soundsystem mit 20 Lautsprechern. Mit Hinterradlenkung und einem Wendekreis unter 10 Metern punktet der IM5 auch in Sachen Alltagstauglichkeit.

00:00Welcome to the new video from the Car Magazine Tuning Blog, where today it's all about the MG IM5.

00:07A brand new electric sedan with 800V technology from MG that packs a punch.

00:14The originally British manufacturer, now under the umbrella of the Chinese group Sec Motor,

00:19is bringing a state-of-the-art vehicle to Europe with the IM5,

00:23which is not only on par with the competition in terms of technology,

00:26but also impresses in terms of design and equipment.

00:30At first glance, the MG IM5 is reminiscent of the Tesla Model 3,

00:36but with a length of 4.9 meters it is positioned much closer to the upper mid-range.

00:43The vehicle is around 1.9 meters wide, the height is around 1.5 meters,

00:48while the wheelbase of 2.9 meters ensures generous interior space.

00:53The IM5 is available with three drive variants.

00:56The entry-level version comes with rear-wheel drive and around 295 horsepower.

01:02A mid-range variant, also with rear-wheel drive, delivers around 408 horsepower.

01:08Those looking for maximum performance should opt for the top version with all-wheel drive,

01:12which delivers an impressive 752 horsepower.

01:15This variant accelerates from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour in just 3.2 seconds,

01:22putting it in the same league as super sports cars.

01:26When it comes to the battery, buyers can choose between two formats,

01:30one with 75 kilowatts hours and one with 100 kilowatts hours.

01:34Depending on the variant selected, the range is either around 489 kilometers or,

01:41in combination with the large battery, up to around 710 kilometers.

01:46The IM5's fast charging capability is particularly noteworthy.

01:51With the large battery, the charge level can be increased from 10 to 80 percent,

01:56which corresponds to a range of around 500 kilometers in just 17 minutes.

02:02The IM5 also sets an exclamation mark in terms of driving dynamics.

02:07Rear-wheel steering reduces the turning circle to less than 10 meters,

02:11thus ensuring exceptional maneuverability.

02:14A major advantage, especially in tight inner-city spaces.

02:19Inside, the driver is greeted by a modern cockpit landscape

02:22dominated by a 26.3-inch infotainment display with ultra-HD resolution.

02:29This is complemented by another 10.5-inch touchscreen,

02:32which can be used to intuitively control many vehicle functions.

02:37The standard equipment also includes a panoramic glass roof

02:40and a high-quality sound system with 20 speakers,

02:43which ensures an impressive audio experience.

02:47The starting price for the MG5 in the UK

02:50is the equivalent of around 45,000 euros.

02:55This basic configuration includes the smaller battery.

02:59Prices for the more powerful variants with the larger battery

03:02are likely to be correspondingly higher.

03:07Although there are no official prices for Luxembourg yet,

03:10it can be assumed that they will be at a similar level.
