00:00Welcome to the video from the Car Magazine Tuning Blog.
00:04Today, we're all about the freshly revised Chevrolet Onyx Plus for the 2026 model year,
00:10which will be available in five trim levels as the only remaining classic four-door in Chevrolet's portfolio.
00:18The compact notchback model from South America is getting a striking facelift,
00:23which makes the front end in particular appear significantly more modern and dynamic,
00:27since the debut of the current generation at the end of 2019, little has changed visually.
00:33That's changing now. The redesigned front brings a breath of fresh air,
00:37while the sideline and rear have only been slightly modified.
00:41The basic version of the Onyx Plus starts at around 16,600 euros and is powered by the familiar
00:47one-liter naturally aspirated engine, which can also be found in the Onyx hatchback.
00:52The remaining versions rely on the one-liter turbo engine with indirect injection,
00:58combined with a manual or automatic six-speed transmission.
01:02The top version, the Premier, costs around 21,000 euros.
01:08Although Chevrolet has not provided any specific information about changes to the chassis or drive units,
01:14both engine variants have already undergone technical revisions.
01:17The engines themselves have not undergone many technical changes,
01:22but there have been minor adjustments to the tuning.
01:24The naturally aspirated engine delivers 80 horsepower with petrol and 82 horsepower with ethanol.
01:30The torque is 102 Nm and 106 Nm, respectively.
01:34The 1.0L turbo generates 116 to 121 horsepower and delivers 163 to 168 Nm of torque to the road.
01:43That is easily enough for everyday use and sometimes for the highway.
01:47Standard equipment includes speed-sensitive electric power steering, manual air conditioning,
01:55six airbags, abs with electronic brake force distribution and emergency brake assist,
02:00traction and stability control, hill start assist, height-adjustable driver's seat,
02:06split and folding rear seat, 15-inch steel wheels with hubcaps,
02:10automatically switching on halogen headlights, electrically adjustable exterior mirrors,
02:15door-colored door handles, and a multimedia system with an 8-inch touchscreen and digital
02:20instrument cluster with a 3.5-inch TFT display round off the overall package.
02:25Other amenities include an onboard computer, speed limiter, steering wheel controls, four speakers,
02:34two USB ports, type A and type C, electric windows and central locking with remote control,
02:40as well as the OnStar system for connected services.
