00:00Welcome to the video from the Car Magazine Tuning Bog.
00:03Today, we're talking about the new and surprising electric car from Faraday Future, the FX4.
00:09The American electric car startup is attracting attention with its future model,
00:13because this vehicle is said to cost around 20,000 US dollars.
00:18That's the equivalent of around 17,500 euros.
00:22Sounds unbelievable.
00:23The company means business.
00:25Although Faraday Future is still active in vehicle construction,
00:30it is struggling to establish its models on the market.
00:34To change that, the company is focusing on a new model series with significantly lower entry-level prices.
00:42The aim is to reach a broader range of buyers with vehicles that are set to start at around 20,000 US dollars.
00:50At the most recent shareholders' day,
00:52Faraday Future presented three new models to interested visitors as so-called prototype mules,
00:57the FX4, the FX6 and the FX Super 1.
01:02The FX Super 1, an electric minivan, will be the first model to be presented at a special event on June 29.
01:09The official premiere will take place on July 17th.
01:14As a so-called first-class IMPV for the United States,
01:18this model is expected to cost less than $50,000.
01:22That's the equivalent of around 46,000 euros and will be the most expensive vehicle in the new FX series.
01:30Sales will start with a clear focus on commercial and fleet customers.
01:33According to the manufacturer, there are already 600 binding and 2,500 non-binding pre-orders.
01:41And that's despite the fact that the model has not yet been officially presented.
01:46At the other end of the price range is the FX4,
01:49a compact electric SUV that is positioned as a direct competitor to the Tesla model YFDA Future,
01:55however, has even more ambitious goals with the FX4.
01:58Internally, it is called the RAW-FEI Disruptor in the IAV era.
02:06Although an official rendering has not yet been released,
02:09there was an initial teaser showing the concealed front section of the vehicle.
02:15The abbreviation AW, which FIDE Future repeatedly uses in its press materials,
02:19probably stands for Electric Vehicles with Artificial Intelligence.
02:22Although the company does not explain in detail what exactly this entails,
02:29it can be assumed that it refers to AI-supported assistance systems and virtual assistants
02:33that are intended to improve the driving experience and enable automated functions.
02:41The detailed product plan for the FX4 is to be presented by the end of the third quarter of 2025.
02:48Pre-orders are expected to be possible as early as this year.
02:52The final pricing structure will also be announced at that time.
02:58The FX4 and FX6 models, the latter of which looks like a classic sedan,
03:03are expected to range in price from around $20,000 to $50,000 USD LAR,
03:08for around €17,500 to €46,000.
03:15Despite the attractive price promises,
03:17all new models from FIDE Future are to receive technologies and features from the flagship FF91,
03:23but at a significantly lower price.
03:29While the company hasn't revealed any details about the technical underpinnings of the new vehicles,
03:34it's likely that a simplified version of the company's modular platform,
03:38known as the variable platform architecture, will be used.
03:41The roadworthy prototypes of the FX4, a crossover,
03:48and the FX6 lend additional credibility to FIDE Future's plans.
03:55While many questions remain unanswered,
03:57the company seems determined to disrupt the market with affordable electric vehicles.
