00:00Welcome to the video from the Auto Magazine Tuning Blog on the topic of the Faday Future FF91 Alliance Futurist.
00:08As always, you can find the link to read the article in our magazine in the video description.
00:13The FF91 Electric Crossover has been a topic in the automotive world for several years now, but so far without much success.
00:22Nevertheless, Faraday Future is sticking to its concept and announced that it had taken the vehicle to a new level in 2023.
00:28They are now ready to launch it on the market.
00:32The price for this high-tech SUV was a whopping €290,000 at the time.
00:38But that's not all.
00:40Anyone who wanted to use the additional updates and connectivity functions had to reckon with an annual subscription of almost €14,000.
00:48This subscription is called FF Hypercar Plus.
00:51To demonstrate the vehicle's performance, Faraday Future drove a distance of 583 kilometers from California to Las Vegas on a single battery charge in 2023.
01:05This is quite impressive, as the FF91 has a battery with a capacity of 130 kilowatt-hours.
01:11The range determined according to the strict American EPA standard is 613 kilometers.
01:22The vehicle's drive unit delivers an impressive 1065 horsepower and a maximum torque of 1800 newton-m.
01:29This allows the electric SUV to accelerate from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour in exactly 2.39 seconds.
01:38However, such driving figures naturally come at the expense of range.
01:43When fast charging, the F91 offers a maximum charging power of 130 kilowatts.
01:50Visually, the F91 has hardly changed at all since its initial presentation in 2017.
01:55The design remains futuristic, yet subtle.
02:00The vehicle deliberately tries to break away from classic SUV shapes and looks more like a luxury touring sedan than a typical off-road vehicle.
02:09This impression is also continued in the interior.
02:13Particularly noteworthy are the two spacious reclining seats in the rear, which are marketed under the name Zero-G Seeds.
02:19These seats are designed for relaxed long-distance driving.
02:25Entertainment is provided by a 27-inch screen that can be folded out of the headliner.
02:32The armrest between the seats is also a well-thought-out detail that underlines the FF91's claim to luxury.
02:39Despite the impressive features, the interior has a touch of nostalgia.
02:43Compared to competitors from NIO, Bidin or Lucid, the FF91 almost seems a little old-fashioned.
02:52However, the technology package is still impressive.
02:55Ten screens are distributed throughout the vehicle, most of them with touch functions.
03:01All electronics are based on Android Auto, which was still an innovation a few years ago but is now almost standard.
03:07A controversial feature is the integrated camera monitoring for each seat.
03:14The system recognizes the occupants via facial recognition and adapts the entertainment and information offerings to suit the individual.
03:22This function dates back to the early days of FF future and has been retained to this day.
03:27The vehicle also offers a variety of digital functions, video streaming, Wi-Fi connection and the ability to access stored media content.
03:39The so-called economy program is particularly worth mentioning.
03:43The reclining seats are adjusted to a comfortable position.
03:47The massage function is activated and soothing music and visual effects create a relaxing atmosphere during the journey.
03:53The planned Level 3 autonomous driving function is also technically interesting, at least for the U.S. market.
04:03For this purpose, a solid-state leader laser sensor is to be installed at the front of the vehicle,
04:08which should enable extensive automation of the driving functions.
