00:00Former NFL great Adrian Peterson's mugshot released following arrest on multiple charges.

00:06Adrian Peterson had one of the greatest careers by a running back in NFL history.

00:11Unfortunately, his legacy has been marred by chaos, both financially and legally.

00:16In his latest brush with the law, the 40-year-old was arrested Sunday morning at around 9.30am by Sugarland Police in Texas.

00:23He was charged with driving while intoxicated and unlawful carrying of a weapon and booked into the Fort Bend County Jail.

00:31It was the second time Peterson has been charged with DWI this year.

00:35A jail official informed TMZ that as of Monday morning, Adrian Peterson was still locked up.

00:41His mugshot has, however, been released.

00:44Back in April of 2025, Adrian Peterson was arrested for DWI at around 3.20am

00:50by a state patrol trooper in Richfield, Minnesota after attending the Vikings draft party.

00:55He was also charged with driving 83 miles per hour in a 55-mile-per-hour zone.

01:00After being booked into the Hennepin County Jail, he was released on bond.

01:04In between his two DWI arrests, Peterson got into a fistfight with a poker player at a Texas casino.

01:11Police were informed of the fight, but did not investigate the incident.

01:15Both Peterson and the man he got into a fight with, Joe Baby Joe Castaneda,

01:20stated after the scuffle that they are friends and that there were no hard feelings.

01:24Shortly thereafter, Peterson and Castaneda signed a contract with Celebrity Boxing to duke it out in the ring.

01:30In 2022, former NFL running back LaVon Bell put Peterson to sleep in a previous Celebrity Boxing match.

01:37This past December, Adrian Peterson had multiple warrants out for his arrest in Texas due to unpaid child support.

01:43Peterson's publicist claimed it was just a misunderstanding.

01:47Two months prior to that issue, Peterson was ordered by a judge in Houston, Texas,

01:51to turn over assets to help pay off what is estimated to be more than $12 million in debt.

01:56Adrian Peterson played 15 seasons in the NFL with the Vikings, Saints, Cardinals, Redskins, Lions, Titans, and Seahawks.

02:03He rushed for 14,918 yards and scored 126 touchdowns.

02:09In 2012, he won the NFL MVP award after rushing for 2,097 yards.

02:17In 2023, he participated in Season 32 of Dancing with the Stars, coming in 11th.
