00:33The wide single-frame grille sits high and is flanked by vertical air curtains, giving the vehicle a powerful front.

00:46The horizontal shoulder line connects the front with the taillights and rises slightly above the taillights to harmoniously emphasize the curved roof arch with the flat rear window.

01:50which are largely made of recycled polyester and thus combine sustainability and comfort.

02:09The power is transmitted via a 7-speed astronic dual-clutch transmission,
02:13and the standard Quadro all-wheel drive ensures optimum traction in all conditions.
02:17Thanks to Mio Plus technology with a 480-volt onboard network, the combustion engine can be supported,
02:25which briefly provides up to 18 kW or 20 hp of additional power.
02:31A drivetrain generator also generates an additional drive torque of up to 230 Nm.
02:37The electrically-powered air conditioning compressor is particularly practical,
02:43as it ensures a pleasant interior temperature even when the engine is switched off,
02:47for example when coasting or at a red light.
02:50The lithium-ion battery is based on lithium-ion phosphate chemistry and has a storage capacity of 1.7 kW.
02:57When braking, the belt starter generator feeds energy back into the battery with up to 25 kW of power,
03:05which further increases the efficiency of the vehicle.
03:08The SQ5 Sportback offers a boot volume of up to 470 L.
03:14With the rear seat bench folded down, the storage space can be expanded to up to 1,388 L,
03:21which creates sufficient space for luggage and shopping.
03:23Thanks to a towing capacity of up to 2,400 kg, the vehicle is also ideally suited for transport tasks.
03:32Visually, the S model impresses with exclusive design elements.
03:37The single frame is framed by a chrome-look frame in matte silver,
03:41while large side aero tubes in L-wing shape emphasize the sporty character.
03:48The window trim strips are finished in aluminum look as standard,
03:51and second-generation digital OLED taillights and a new projection light in the spoiler
03:56ensure increased safety and a modern appearance.
04:00The new SQ5 Sportback is based on the premium combustion PPC platform,
04:05which was specially developed for vehicles with combustion engines that have been installed for a long time.
04:11This platform enables gradual electrification,
04:14so that plug-in hybrids with a larger battery and external charging option will also be available at a later date.
04:21The Audi SQ5 Sportback can be ordered from December 2024.
04:26Prices in Germany start at âŹ8,500.
04:29This makes it âŹ2,500 more expensive than the Q5 SUV
04:33and âŹ1,250 more expensive than its predecessor.
04:37The market launch is planned for the second quarter of 2025.
