00:00Hello and a warm welcome to the tuning blog video about the new Audi SQ5 Sportback.
00:11The second generation Audi SQ5 Sportback is ready to launch and is aimed specifically at
00:16European customers who appreciate a sporty design without sacrificing the benefits of an SUV.
00:23With its dynamic silhouette and innovative technologies, it sets new standards in its
00:28class. Externally, the SQ5 Sportback presents itself significantly taut and sportier than its
00:35predecessor. The wide single-frame grille sits high and is flanked by vertical air curtains,
00:41giving the vehicle a powerful front. Below the grille is a large air intake with sensors,
00:49which is both functional and visually impressive. The horizontal shoulder line connects the front
00:56with the taillights and rises slightly above the taillights to harmoniously emphasize the
01:01curved roof arch with the flat rear window. The rear of the SQ5 Sportback is pulled back as far
01:09as possible to create a sloping roofline from the B-pillar. This design lends the vehicle a
01:16coupe-like silhouette without neglecting its practicality. The real tailpipes are positioned
01:21under the integrated diffuser. In the S model, they come in the form of twin round tailpipes
01:26with a new, sharper design. In the interior, Audi relies on proven technology and high-quality
01:32materials. The MMI panoramic display and the front passenger display are already familiar from the
01:37Q5 SUV and offer intuitive operation. The so-called soft wrap extends from the doors across the entire
01:45cockpit to the center console. Materials such as the cascade upholstery fabric or the Dynamica
01:52microfiber material are used here, which are largely made of recycled polyester and thus combine
01:57sustainability and comfort. Under the hood is a powerful V6 TFSI engine with a displacement of 3L.
02:05This delivers a whopping 270 kilowatts, 360 horsepower and a maximum torque of 550 newton meters.
02:12The power is transmitted via a 7-speed S-ronic dual-clutch transmission and the standard
02:18quadro all-wheel drive ensures optimum traction in all conditions. Thanks to Mio Plus technology
02:26with a 480-volt onboard network, the combustion engine can be supported, which briefly provides
02:31up to 18 kilowatts or 20 horsepower of additional power. A drivetrain generator also generates an
02:38additional drive torque of up to 230 newtonum. The electrically powered air conditioning compressor
02:45is particularly practical, as it ensures a pleasant interior temperature even when the engine is switched
02:50off, for example when coasting or at a red light. The lithium-ion battery is based on lithium-iron
02:58phosphate chemistry and has a storage capacity of 1.7 kilowatts. When braking, the belt starter generator with up to
03:0625 kilowatts of power feeds energy back into the battery, which further increases the efficiency
03:11of the vehicle. The SQ5 Sportback offers a boot volume of up to 470L. With the rear seat bench folded
03:20down, the storage space can be expanded to up to 1,388L, which creates sufficient space for luggage and shopping.
03:27Thanks to a towing capacity of up to 2,400 kg, the vehicle is also ideally suited for transport tasks.
03:35Visually, the S model impresses with exclusive design elements. The single frame is framed by a
03:43chrome look frame in matte silver, while large side aerotubes in L-wing shape emphasize the sporty character.
03:49The window frames are finished in aluminum as standard, and second-generation digital OLED
03:58taillights and a new projection light in the spoiler ensure increased safety and a modern appearance.
04:05The new SQ5 Sportback is based on the premium combustion PPC platform, which was specially developed
04:11for vehicles with combustion engines that have been installed for a long time. This platform enables
04:17gradual electrification, so that plug-in hybrids with a larger battery and external charging option
04:22will also be available at a later date. The Audi SQ5 Sportback can be ordered from December 2024.
04:30Prices start at 8,500 euros in Germany. This makes it 2,500 euros more expensive than the Q5 SUV
04:38and 1,250 euros more expensive than its predecessor. The market launch is planned for the second quarter of
04:442025. Was the information about the Audi SQ5 Sportback informative? Then please leave a subscription.
