00:04Today we're talking about the Lucid Gravity, a new electric SUV from the USA that's causing a stir in the luxury class with 828 horsepower, a top speed of 270 kmh and impressive technology.
00:18With the Gravity, the American manufacturer Lucid is now bringing its second model to Europe after the Air Sedan.
00:26An all-electric 7-seater that looks like a sporty SUV.
00:30But has almost undulating qualities on the inside and performs like a real sports car on the road.
00:38With this, Lucid is targeting discerning customers who find models like the Hyundai Ioniq 9, Kia EV9 or Volvo X90 too weak.
00:48The Gravity is set to be available in the fall and is expected to cost around 130,000 euros at market launch.
00:55A more affordable entry-level model for just under 100,000 euros is also planned for later.
01:00Visually, Lucid is opting for a clear line.
01:04The Gravity is around 5 meters long, dispenses with exaggerated proportions and bulky plastic elements and therefore appears significantly more elegant and aerodynamic than many of its SUV competitors.

01:17The manufacturer promises a range of more than 700 kmh according to European standards.
01:24Inside, the Gravity impresses with a modern and high-quality ambience.
01:28The driver looks out onto an elegant landscape of displays and benefits from a windscreen that extends far over the roof and creates a completely new sense of space.
01:38The passengers also sit comfortably, even in the third row, which is at least equipped with seat heating despite the lack of massage seats or ventilation.
01:48With a wheelbase of a good 3 meters, the vehicle offers generous legroom in all seats.
01:55The cargo volume is also impressive.
01:58The trunk can swallow up a maximum of around 3,200 L and there is an additional 200 L in the front storage space under the hood.
02:05But what really sets the gravity apart is its performance.
02:11Two electric motors deliver a total of 28 horsepower and over 1,200 Nm of torque.
02:18This enables the SUV, which weighs almost 3 tons, to accelerate from 0 to 100 kmh in just 3.6 seconds and reach a top speed of 270 kmh.
02:29Values that are more reminiscent of a sports car than a family SUV.
02:33The charging capacity is also impressive.
02:37The battery with a capacity of 123 kWh operates at 926 volts and can be charged with up to 400 kW.
02:46Enough to recharge enough electricity for a range of 400 km in less than 15 minutes.
02:52Despite this brutal performance, the gravity always remains easy to control thanks to adaptive air suspension,
02:58powerful braking system with a high proportion of recuperation and active rear axle steering.
03:04The latter in particular ensures an astonishingly small turning circle.
03:08The only criticism, the steering wheel is square instead of round.
03:11A matter of taste.
03:13Anyone who has become accustomed to the futuristic steering wheel will experience a driving pleasure on winding country roads that you would hardly expect from an SUV of this size.
03:22While the driver can barely suppress a broad grin, the passengers in the back are definitely reaching their limits when it comes to cornering.
03:31The bottom line is that the Lucid Gravity is a technical outsider with impressive capabilities.
03:36It is more powerful, faster and more efficient than most of its competitors, but with its high price tag it remains an exclusive offering.
03:46The technology is impressive.
