00:00Welcome to the video from the Car Magazine Tuning Blog.
00:03Today, it's all about the revised Yamaha YZ45F for the 2016 model year.
00:09The new top model among Yamaha's off-road bikes to mark the 70th anniversary of the Japanese manufacturer.
00:17Yamaha is celebrating the company's anniversary with a major model update to its popular off-road range.
00:23A total of 7 models have been revised, but the UZ4F is clearly the focus.
00:28With a new engine, improved chassis and modernized technology.
00:35While smaller models such as the PW50.5 and Z85 have only been visually refreshed with new graphics and the color icon blue,
00:43the AUS45F has been renewed to a much greater extent.
00:48The frame of the AUS54F has been structurally revised.
00:52The internal structures and the thickness of the downtubes have been adjusted to improve torsional behavior.
00:58In addition, there are asymmetrical engine mounts on both sides.
01:04The new liquid-cooled 450cc four-stroke engine with two overhead camshafts is still technically based on familiar components
01:12such as the 39mm titanium intake valves, a forged aluminum piston and the dry sump lubrication system.
01:18However, the revised intake track ensures a smoother throttle response and improved control in the low-to-mid speed range.
01:28The torque characteristics have also been changed and should enable more precise metering in the future.
01:37There are also adjustments to the exhaust system.
01:39A centrally positioned resonator and a flat-aligned silencer guide ensure quieter operating noise.
01:49On the intake side, there is also a new resonator in the air filter box.
01:53The new engine is coupled to a hydraulic clutch and a constant mesh F-speed transmission.
02:01At the rear, Yamaha relies on a specially developed KW chassis, which is supposed to give the bike more stability on uneven surfaces.
02:08The new seat with a honeycomb structure also prevents the rider from sliding backwards during hard acceleration.
02:16In addition, the Z450F has an ECU lock function, which allows only registered riders to start using a password via the PowerTuner app.
02:26There are also minor visual changes.
02:27A narrower start number plate, two-part side panels, a new hat-code wing as well as horizontal line graphics and speed-block designs round off the fresh design.
02:39Like all other models in the series, the Z455F will also be available as a 70th anniversary edition with a special white-red paint job.
02:48A tribute to the legendary ZM400F, which was the first four-stroke motorcycle to win the Motocross World Championship and the AM Supercross.
02:59Yamaha is asking a price of around 9,600 euros for the new UZ54F.
03:06This means that it is already available to order, just like its smaller siblings.
