00:00Welcome to the video from the Car Magazine Tuning Blog.
00:03Today, it's all about the new Toyota BZ4X Touring.
00:07A promising midsize electric station wagon that finally expands the previously sparse range in this segment.
00:15With the BZ4VX Touring, Toyota is launching a more spacious and powerful alternative to the well-known BZ4X,
00:22which is characterized by a robust design set, more space and an increased range of up to 560 kilometers.
00:30The BZ4X Touring is particularly aimed at families and people with an active lifestyle who value flexibility and a more powerful appearance.
00:41Visually, the Touring clearly stands out from the standard model with rims in off-road steel,
00:46a striking roof rail and a continuous light strip at the front that is reminiscent of the Toyota Prius.
00:53The extended rear section with LED taillights and a redesigned bumper emphasize its outdoor character.
01:00The new paint finish and brilliant bronze also helps the Touring stand out from the crowd.
01:09Inside, the cockpit already adopts the design of the upcoming facelift of the BZ4X for 2026.
01:16The redesigned center console makes it easier to use devices,
01:19even if the steering wheel with its numerous buttons still takes some getting used to.
01:22A real highlight is the standard 14-inch multimedia display with integrated navigation,
01:31which automatically suggests suitable charging stations along the route based on the battery charge level.
01:38A function that was still missing from the previous model.
01:41The BZ4X Touring scores particularly well in everyday use with a trunk volume of 600L,
01:48which means around a third more storage space than the standard model.
01:53This increase of almost 150L is due, among other things,
01:57to the body being extended by 14 centimeters with an overall length of over 4.8 meters.
02:02The rear seat bench can be folded down in a ratio of 40 to 60,
02:08which is practical but not quite as flexible as in some competing models.
02:13The increase in space is made possible, among other things, by the compact design of the electric drive.
02:19There are two drive variants to choose from.
02:22A front-wheel drive model with 224 horsepower and an all-wheel drive version with an impressive 380 horsepower.
02:29Both versions use a lithium-ion battery with a gross capacity of 74.7 kWh.
02:38The range is up to 560 kilometers, depending on the equipment.
02:44The charging capacity is up to 150 kW, with an optional 22 kW onboard charger for AC charging available.
02:53In terms of technology, Toyota is relying on new eAXOS with silicon semiconductors
02:58to optimize both efficiency and performance.
03:02The battery has water cooling and a pre-conditioning function that can be activated both manually and automatically.
03:10The maximum towing capacity of 1.5 tons provides additional versatility.
03:17The market launch in Europe is planned for the first half of 2026.
03:22Toyota will publish prices and further technical details at a later date.
03:25What is certain, however, is that the Bisopferks Touring also benefits from the Toyota battery care program,
03:33which offers a warranty of up to 10 years or 250,000 kilometers.
03:39Provided that regular maintenance and a successful battery check are adhered to.
03:42Toyota even promised a battery guarantee of up to 1 million kilometers for the previous model.
