Im Euro NCAP Crashtest muss der VW Transporter 2025 zeigen, wie gut er im Ernstfall schützt. Bei einem Frontalaufprall mit 50 km/h gegen ein deformierbares Hindernis sowie beim Aufprall auf eine starre Barriere beweist die Karosserie Stabilität. Auch der Seitenaufprall- und Pfahltest zeigen gute Ergebnisse beim Insassenschutz.
In Sachen Schleudertrauma bietet der Transporter soliden Schutz bei Heckkollisionen. Fußgänger- und Radfahrerschutz fallen mit Unterstützung durch automatische Notbremsung und Türöffnungswarnung insgesamt positiv aus. Kopf-, Bein- und Beckenaufpralle bei simulierten Erwachsenen und Kindern ergeben durchschnittliche bis gute Werte.
Neben der passiven Sicherheit sind zahlreiche Assistenzsysteme an Bord: Notbremsassistent bei Auto- und Motorradkollisionen, Spurhaltehilfe, Müdigkeitserkennung und Geschwindigkeitsassistent sind serienmäßig dabei.
