00:12This electric sports car was unveiled for the first time at the Shanghai Auto Show
00:16and is causing a stir because it shows what an electric sports coupe with state-of-the-art technology and innovative design can feel like.
00:25Completely disregarding old ways of thinking,
00:27Porsche has repeatedly emphasized that its model range is becoming increasingly electrified,
00:33with one deliberate exception, the 911.
00:36This attitude creates space for new players, and BYD is seizing precisely this opportunity.
00:42With its subsidiary brand Dancer, the Chinese manufacturer is bringing the Dancer Z into the game.

00:52Although no complete technical specifications have been released yet,
00:56some exciting features are already emerging.
01:00The design of the Dancer Z appears dynamic and sporty.
01:04A low-slung profile, sharp headlights, and a striking front spoiler give the car a powerful appearance.

01:14The body is compact, narrowing from the B-pillar to emphasize the powerful shape over the rear wheels.
01:22Details such as frameless windows, concealed door handles, and large rims also underscore the modern approach.
01:30Technically, the Dancer set relies on the so-called steer-by-wire system, which is controlled by advanced AI algorithms.
01:36This system promises particularly smooth handling in everyday use and, at the same time, precise feedback on the racetrack.
01:45The folding steering wheel is particularly innovative.
01:49It is designed to create additional clearance in the event of an accident, thus increasing safety while also offering a futuristic touch.
01:56Another highlight is the new body control system, SM, which is based on the previous's C.
02:05It is an intelligent magneto-orological system that reacts to road irregularities within less than 10 milliseconds and adjusts the suspension accordingly.
02:13According to BD, this ensures greater stability and better control, especially when cornering at high speed.
02:22Even though BYD hasn't yet released exact performance data for the Dancer Z, current models suggest it could be powered by three electric motors with a combined output of over 1,000 horsepower.
02:34But for BYD, pure performance is secondary. Mindset is far more important.
02:41In China, people don't think in terms of boundaries, they venture out into new directions.
02:45This project demonstrates exactly that.
02:48The model is expected to start at a price above 40,000 euros.
02:53For comparison, the already available high-speed electric motor with over 30,000 revolutions per minute,
02:59which is used in the HL and Tang L models, will likely also be installed in the Dancer Z, which will further underline its performance.
