You Will Never See Biggest Football Fans Than These Adorable Lions

In a flagrant display or pride, lions at a UK safari want to let us know who they’re rooting for. Yair Ben-Dor has more.

00:00These lions at the Knowsley Safari have World Cup fever, according to a spokesperson from the Maryside Park in England.

00:07They're proudly following the lions in Group B, keeping a close eye on Wales and Iran,

00:12but they're a bit peed off with Friday night's England-USA performance, the spokesperson said.

00:18Yeah, no kidding. These lions were given painted boxes with different soccer team flags painted on them,

00:24and this lion actually peed on the American one. So much for sportsmanship.

00:29The lions obviously know what's up and are bringing real meaning to the word pride.

00:33As you can see in the footage, this cute apex predator was more interested in nuzzling the English painted box than any other,

00:41showing us just how in tune they really are to what's been on everyone's minds and television sets

00:45since the FIFA World Cup started in Qatar earlier this month.

00:49To that effect, the Knowsley Safari staff hope that England's team, the Lions,

00:54can be as dangerous in and around the football fields as these big cats are in upcoming games.
