00:10Just one month after the presentation of the regular CLA in Rome, Mercedes is presenting a version specially developed for China for the first time in this vehicle class with an extended wheelbase, probably by around 10 cm, which ironically even appears more harmoniously proportioned than the base model.
00:27As the first production vehicle to use the scalable Mercedes-Benz modular architecture, the extended CLA is also the first completely software-defined Mercedes model, as it runs exclusively on the newly developed Mercedes-Benz operating system.
00:44The all-electric version combines rear-wheel drive, a two-speed transmission, and an 800-volt architecture.
00:52Thanks to this technical basis, it achieves a range of up to 866 km according to the Chinese CLTC measuring method, which corresponds to a consumption of just 10.9 kWh per 100 km.
