01:20With this luxurious chauffeur-driven limousine, Mercedes-Benz opens the segment of future grand limousines, which will be marketed under the new model names VLE and VLS and, from 2006, will be based on a flexible van architecture.
01:36Shortly thereafter, the brand celebrated the premiere of the CLA long-wheel base, which offers Chinese customers more space, comfort, and efficiency.

02:43In technical workshops before the start of the show, Mercedes-Benz demonstrated how advanced recuperation, electric intelligence, and the MB Drive Assist Pro Level 2 assistance package enable driving even in dense city traffic.
02:57Steer-by-wire, which was introduced as standard in 2006, cuts the mechanical connection between the steering wheel and the front wheels,
03:04facilitates parking maneuvers, allows variable gear ratios, and creates space for an even more spacious cockpit.
03:11There, the fourth generation of the Mercedes-Benz user experience with superscreen localized functions such as Arm of Navigation and AI Assistant Duba ensures a personalized voice-controlled experience.

03:32Beyond the current models, the manufacturer is providing insights into research for the mobility of tomorrow.
03:38Neuromorphic computing could make AI calculations ten times more efficient and reduce the energy requirements of autonomous systems by 90%.
03:46Wafer-thin solar coatings promise up to 14,000 kilometers of additional range per year under optimal sunlight.
03:54A programmable power converter at the cell level is designed to ensure a constant 800 volts regardless of the number of cells and optimize bi-directional charging.
04:04A compact, virtually maintenance-free brake within the motor gear unit eliminates particulate matter, rust, and braking noise.
04:12With urban future scenarios such as Shenzhen 2040+, Mercedes-Benz is also networking with sociologists, architects, and technologists to seamlessly integrate vehicles into smart cities.
