00:01Hello and welcome to the video from the Auto Magazine Tuning Blog, where today we're talking about the Toyota Bit7.
00:07The new all-electric sedan, which was first presented as a near-production model on April 23, 2025 at the Auto Shanghai.
00:17The vehicle, which is over 5 meters long, is the first result of the joint venture between Toyota and the Guangzhou Automobile Group
00:25and also marks Toyota's debut with the Huawei Cockpit Platform Harmony OS in a production vehicle for the Chinese market.
00:34The BZ7 was developed by a specially appointed regional chief engineering team to combine the Japanese company's safe, reliable and high-quality manufacturing expertise with Chinese cutting-edge technology.
00:48Visually, the sedan follows Toyota's latest design language.
00:52A closed front section features slim, C-shaped headlights that are reminiscent of the current Prius.
01:00A Liad sensor is located on the roof, indicating an advanced driver assistance package that is likely based on Huawei's driver assistance system.
01:09At the rear, continuous lights, high-mounted brake lights and a small wing provide a dynamic finish.
01:15The side view is characterized by a roof that slopes backwards, elegantly merging into the rear spoiler.
01:23Added to this are semi-recessed door handles and 21-inch, delicately designed C-spoke wheels.
01:30Compared to last fall's concept car, the digital exterior mirrors have been replaced with conventional mirrors,
01:36and real door handles have been added to increase everyday usability.
01:39The interior features an airy, modern ambience with multi-colored ambient lighting.
01:47The focal point is a free-standing central screen, flanked by a recessed instrument display behind the three-spoke steering wheel.
01:55Inductive charging pads are located in the center console, while a large panoramic roof floods light all the way to the rear seats.
02:02Toyota is still keeping key technical specifications regarding the drivetrain, performance, battery capacity, and range to itself.
02:11It also remains unclear in which configuration the advanced assistance functions will be activated.
02:17What is certain, however, is that the BZ7 will go on sale in China within the next 12 months
02:22and will further expand the BZ lineup following the BZ4X, BZ3, BZ3X, and BZ5.
02:30With the BZ7, Toyota is not only breaking new technological ground through its collaboration with Huawei,
02:37but is also signaling the growing importance of the Chinese market within the company's global electric strategy.
02:46The combination of proven production quality and locally developed software expertise
02:51should give the new flagship of the all-electric Chinese range a competitive edge in connectivity and user experience.
02:57Although performance and charging figures are still under wraps,
03:03the presence of the slider and the Harmony OS cockpit indicate that the BZ7 will represent the pinnacle of the Toyota portfolio
03:10in terms of intelligent functions.
