00:00Welcome to the TuningBlock video about the brand new BMW F450GS concept of the exciting A2 Enduro.
00:13If you need information about another vehicle, please leave a message with the vehicle name via email, WhatsApp or as a comment below this video.
00:21BMW caused a stir with the F54GS concept at the EIGMAR 2024 and plans to launch the production version of this lightweight Enduro with 48hp by the end of 2025 at the latest.
00:36With this, BMW is closing the gap between the G310GS with 34hp and the more powerful F800GS F900GS models, which offer 87 and 105hp respectively.
00:47The new F450GS is specifically aimed at female riders with an A2 driving license who are looking for a powerful yet beginner-friendly machine.
00:59At the heart of the motorcycle is a completely newly developed two-cylinder inline engine with exactly 48hp and a displacement of 420cc.
01:10The machine is equipped with a special offset of the crankshaft crankpins, which ensures a particularly exotic ignition timing layout.
01:18Something that BMW says has never been installed in series production before.
01:22However, the exact degree of offset is still a secret.
01:27The new Easy Ride Clutch with an optional quick shifter ensures smooth shifting and both hand levers can be individually adjusted.
01:33The top speed of the BMW F450GS is just under 170 km per hour.
01:41To be precise, 167.
01:44The chassis promises excellent stability and comfort.
01:47A bridge frame made of steel tubing in a lattice design.
01:51There is a robustly bolted rear frame and an aluminium rear swingarm with central spring strut.
01:56The long suspension travel and a fully adjustable upside-down fork underline the Enduro character, although the concept has already been presented in a near-series form.
02:06The wheels measure 19 inches at the front and 17 inches at the rear.
02:11Alternatively, cast aluminium wheels are also available.
02:14The wheelbase is a stabilizing 1,465 mm.
02:17With a weight of around 178 kg including a 90% full 14L tank, the F450GS is only 3 kg over the minimum weight for the A2 class, which is made possible by the use of lightweight magnesium components.
02:34Braking is taken care of.
02:39The BMW F450GS has a 4-piston Brembo brake caliper on the front wheel and NABZ Pro, which is sensitive to lean angles and can be switched off for off-road use.
02:50The LED headlight in X design and the 6.5-inch TFT display with smartphone connectivity make the machine stand out visually and functionally.
02:58The handlebar switches can also be adjusted and offer various riding modes that are impressive.
03:05The F450GS is also said to be suitable for beginners.
03:10The seat height is moderately adjusted to suit as many female riders as possible.
03:15A maximum height of 840 mm seems ideal.
03:20The price of the BMW F450GS is expected to remain well below the €10,000 mark and start at around €8,000.
03:28The motorcycle is expected to be manufactured in India by long-time partner TVs and could be available from October 2025, but no later than 2026.
