00:00Welcome to the video from the Car Magazine Tuning Block about the Luxe Seed S7.
00:11Huawei, the other major and well-known mobile phone manufacturer, is launching the facelift
00:16of the Luxe Seed S7. Although this car has a lot to offer in terms of looks and technology,
00:21sales figures have not been particularly high so far. What could be the reason for this and
00:26what is there to know about this vehicle at the moment? Find out here.
00:33On November 9th, Huawei announced that the new Luxe Seed S7 showroom vehicles have arrived in many
00:38stores. According to the sales staff, pre-sales are expected to start on November 10th. The new car
00:47features various exterior paint finishes and color-coordinated 19 or 20-inch rims.
00:52It is equipped with Huawei's 800-volt high-voltage silicon cabot power supply platform Driv1 and
01:00offers the Intelligent Drive versions RDS 3.0 basic or advanced. However, none of this has achieved
01:08much so far. With the previous model currently priced at between €33,000 and €46,000,
01:14only 2,522 units were sold in October.
01:21Sales development has been more than mediocre so far.
01:26In December of last year, for example, only 784 units were sold, and in January and February of
01:32this year, there were only 604 and 794 vehicles, respectively.
01:37The high level of competition in China is taking its toll on the car industry, which is why we hear
01:44about bankruptcy every now and then. However, Luxe is backed by Huawei, which is why they are unlikely
01:49to file for bankruptcy anytime soon. Nevertheless, Huawei will have to work really hard compared to its
01:56competitors, because the Chinese have become quite good at looks and technology.
02:00This will probably only be possible through price.
02:07The exterior of the new Luxe S7 continues the design of the current model with a closed front section,
02:12slim headlights, hidden door handles and continuous tail lights.
02:18Some models shown in the official images are still equipped with a roof rail.
02:24Inside, the cockpit features a three-spoke steering wheel, an instrument panel,
02:28a floating central control screen, and a multi-layered center console.
02:34The lower section is equipped with wireless charging for mobile phones,
02:37cup holders, and additional storage space.
02:41Huawei Harmony OS 4 is rolled out as the operating system.
02:46The Luxe S7 facelift measures 4,971 mm in length, 1,963 mm in width, and 1,474 mm in height.
02:58The wheelbase is 2,95 meters.
03:03The new Luxe S7 is expected to continue to be powered by Huawei's 800-volt silicon
03:08cabling high-voltage platform drive 1.
03:13The total output of the front asynchronous motor and the rear permanent magnet synchronous motor for
03:17for the all-wheel drive configuration is 365 kilowatts, 489 horsepower.
03:25Acceleration from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour is 3.3 seconds.
03:29The single motor version has a maximum output of 215 kilowatts, 288 horsepower, an acceleration
03:40time from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour of 5.4 seconds and a range of 855 kilometers with
03:46a 100-kilowatt-hour turn lithium battery.
03:53At this point, no further information about the drive system has been officially announced.
04:00Prices are not yet known, but they will apparently have to be based on the
04:03pre-facelift or even lower in order to boost sales.
04:10Whether the Luxeed S7 will also be offered internationally seems unlikely due to the low sales.
04:17However, you can still write to me below the video how much it might cost here.
