00:00Welcome to the video from the Car Magazine Tuning Blog.
00:04Today, we're all about the new luxury sedan from Huawei, the Maxtro S800.
00:11This impressive vehicle, which was developed in close collaboration with Jack Motors,
00:16was officially unveiled in China and features a wealth of cutting-edge technologies,
00:20a luxurious interior and advanced vehicle architecture.
00:23The Maxtro S800 is clearly aimed at the premier class of luxury vehicles,
00:31including competitors such as the Mercedes-Maybush S-Class,
00:34and aims to set new standards with its overall package.
00:39The sedan, which is based on the Touring II Longsing platform,
00:42measures an impressive 5.5 meters in length, 2 meters in width and 1.5 meters in height.
00:48The wheelbase is an impressive 3.4 meters.
00:53This means that the Maxtro S800 even surpasses the dimensions of the aforementioned Mercedes flagship
00:58and underlines its claim to be the leader in the luxury sedan segment.
01:04The vehicle is priced between around 87,000 euros and around 125,000 euros,
01:10depending on the equipment and the selected drive variant.
01:15Huawei is launching the Maxtro S800 in two versions,
01:19as a pure electric version and as a hybrid model with an extended range.
01:23The all-electric version has all-wheel drive with two motors and a battery with a capacity of 97 kilowatts per hour.
01:33This supports super fast charging with 5C technology,
01:37which means that the charging time from 10 to 80 percent is just 12 minutes.
01:40In the CLTC standard, this version achieves an impressive range of 702 kilometers.
01:49The hybrid model with an extended range, on the other hand, is available in two configurations.
01:55Either with two or even three electric motors, each also with all-wheel drive.
01:59The dual-motor version achieves an electric range of 400 kilometers and a combined range of over 1,300 kilometers with the support of the petrol engine.
02:10The three-motor version offers 365 kilometers of pure electric range and a total of 1,200 kilometers combined.
02:22In the AF version, the battery capacity is 65 kilowatt hours, with fast charging from 10 to 80 percent taking just 10.5 minutes.
02:30In terms of performance, the Maxtro S800 is also at the top level.
02:37Depending on the model variant, the vehicle accelerates from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour in around 4.3 to 4.9 seconds.
02:45The braking distance from 100 kilometers per hour to a standstill is 34.5 meters.
02:50The sedan is equipped with 12 degrees rear-wheel steering, which enables a very small turning radius of just 5.05 meters and a diagonal turning ability of up to 16 degrees.
03:04This allows the vehicle to be maneuvered confidently even in narrow streets.
03:09An outstanding feature of the Maxtro S800 is the advanced Huawei RDS4 driving system, which is equipped with the AI training AI function.
03:20This system uses four LiDAR sensors and a total of 32 sensors, which together enable complete 360 degrees detection.
03:29This not only allows safe driving in confined spaces, but also automatic avoidance of obstacles and precise parking.
03:37In terms of safety, the Maxtro S800 also sets new standards.
03:43Over 92% of the body is made of ultra-high-strength steel and aluminum.
03:47This forms the basis of Huawei's so-called Zanwu safety architecture.
03:53The battery is additionally equipped with a five-layer protective structure, which includes, among other things, technology for overheating protection.
04:03According to Huawei and battery supplier Cat L, this safety design even exceeds the latest Chinese regulations.
04:09Another technical highlight is the so-called Tool & Dragon platform, which is equipped with a special suspension system.
04:20This uses a so-called space-time inference, which enables adaptive pre-setting of the suspension on uneven roads or in sharp curves.
04:28Pure Axle
04:29Adaptive air shock absorbers ensure maximum ride comfort.
04:35Pure luxury reigns inside the Maxtro S800.
04:39Customers can choose between a four- and a five-seater configuration.
04:44The trunk offers a volume of 445L and is lined with fine velvet.
04:49There are five stylish color options for the interior to choose from.
04:54Brown, white, purple, white, white-brown and dark brown.
05:00The interior is entirely handcrafted, including polished crystal details, precision cast metal fittings with a thickness of 1mm,
05:08manufactured at temperatures of over 1300 degrees Celsius and high-quality semi-anilene leather.
05:13The wood elements in the interior undergo an extremely selective graining process with a rejection rate of over 99%
05:23and are then polished to a high gloss in a 480-hour process.
05:30The vehicle's sound system is no less spectacular.
05:33It is the most advanced system in the Harmony Intelligent Mobility Series with a total of 43 speakers,
05:407, 5 and 10 independent channels and a total output of 2920 watts.
05:49Four speakers are integrated in each of the headrests,
05:5210 speakers are housed in the vehicle ceiling and special algorithms ensure individual sound space creation.
05:57Added to this are retractable tweeters and a base range that can reproduce frequencies below 40Hz.
06:09Another innovation is the new digital car lock called StarFlash,
06:13which was presented together with the Huawei Watch 5.
06:16This system detects the driver from a distance of 20 meters
06:19and automatically unlocks the vehicle from 3 meters.
06:22Even if the user is only nearby, for example when collecting luggage, the system works reliably.
06:33Huawei claims that this technology is 5 meters more precise
06:36and 6 meters more reliable than conventional locking systems.
06:43With its advanced architecture, extensive safety functions,
06:46highly intelligent driving assistance and handcrafted luxury interior,
06:50the Maxtro S800 represents a real milestone in the field of fully electric luxury sedans.
07:01The first batch of 599 vehicles for so-called Pioneer customers will be delivered from June 26th,
07:07while regular deliveries will begin in mid-August this year.
