00:13The European market leader in the 2-ton electric van segment is expanding its range with new model variants that impress with a larger battery and an extended range.
00:22The Ford E-Transit can now be ordered with an optional 89-kilowatt battery, which enables an electric range of up to 402 kilometers.
00:33This corresponds to a range increase of around 27% compared to the previous series models with a usable battery capacity of 68 kilowatts.
00:44In addition to the larger battery, the new E-Transit variants also benefit from an increased fast charging capacity,
00:51which increases from 115 to 180 kilowatts.
00:58This means that the impressive 89-kilowatt battery can be charged from 0 to 88% in just 28 minutes,
01:04which means a reduction in charging time of 9 minutes compared to the smaller battery variant.
01:13In addition, the AC charging capacity has doubled from 11 to 22 kilowatts,
01:18reducing the charging time for a full charge at the wall box from less than 8 to less than 6 hours.
01:25The new versions of the E-Transit are available as a panel van from 752,810 euros and as a chassis from 768,210 euros, both including VAT.
01:37With a market share of more than 50%, the E-Transit dominates the 2-ton electric van segment in Europe
01:44and offers numerous application possibilities for private and, above all, commercial customers with a wide range of 28 model variants.
01:52These include additional wheelbases, panel van versions with single and double cabs,
01:59and chassis with permissible gross vehicle weights from 3.5 to 4.3 tons.
02:04Ford Pro also ensures easy and convenient charging of electric vehicles with complete solutions for charging stations that are suitable for businesses,
02:14private households and public spaces.
02:18These solutions include instruction, installation and maintenance of the necessary hardware, as well as a 5-year device warranty.
02:26Intelligent software services enable smart charging management to ensure optimum vehicle efficiency and uptime.
02:35Ford Pro telematics software enables fleet managers to monitor each vehicle's charging performance and energy efficiency,
02:45and to set charging windows to take advantage of lower energy tariffs.
02:50The E-Transit's battery can also be preconditioned to achieve maximum range
02:56or the charging infrastructure can be locked to prevent unauthorized use.
03:01To further optimize range in cold weather, the new model variants are equipped as standard with a heat pump with steam injection,
03:09which heats the interior more efficiently and saves energy.
03:14This system is similar to that of the E-Transit custom and was first used in Ford's 1-ton commercial van to improve energy efficiency and extend range.
03:26In terms of engine options, Ford Pro offers two power outputs for the new E-Transit model variants,
03:32one with 183 horsepower and another with 269 horsepower.
03:37The maximum payload of the chassis is up to 1,783 kilograms, while the panel van can transport up to 1,029 kilograms.
03:47The vehicles can also tow a trailer load of up to 750 kilograms.
03:52The Ford E-Transit's own 2.3 kilowatts pro power onboard power supply is available as an option,
03:59which provides power from the vehicle battery to operate electrical tools, devices and conversions.
04:05The new model variants also benefit from the same digital modules as the entire Transit family,
04:13which are designed to increase the productivity of the vehicles.
04:16These include a standard 5G modem for super-fast mobile connectivity and access to the digital Ford Pro ecosystem
04:25with special software solutions and connected service offerings.
04:29The 5G modem also enables software updates over the air, i.e. without a visit to the workshop,
04:35which makes servicing and updating the vehicles much easier.
