00:24The Ford Puma may bear the name of the well-known sports coupe from the 90s, but otherwise it has nothing in common with the old model.
00:35The new Puma has been available at dealerships since 2019-2020 and, as a modern SUV, aims to compete in the popular compact SUV segment against competitors such as the seat Iona, Peugeot 2008 or Hyundai Kona.
00:48In spring 2024, it received a facelift that included both visual and technical updates.
00:57At 4.19 meters long, the Ford Puma is actually slightly shorter than a Ford Focus, but still 15 centimeters longer than the now discontinued Fiesta, on which it is technically based.

02:40The 125 horsepower version takes the Ford Puma to 100 kilometers per hour in 9.8 seconds and has a top speed of 191 kilometers per hour.
02:50The 6-speed manual transmission shifts precisely and smoothly, which makes everyday driving comfortable.
02:56Although the fuel consumption is 5.4L per 100 kilometers on paper, in practice you can expect to get closer to 6.1L, which is still quite good for an SUV of this size.
03:10The Puma's handling is also impressive.
03:14Despite its compact size, it sits firmly on the road and remains easy to control, even in bends.
03:19The steering is precise and, especially in the sporty ST-line version, a firmer suspension ensures even more driving pleasure.
03:29The 224R facelift also gives the Puma new headlights with Matrix LED technology and a fresh design on the radiator grille.
03:38The brand logo has been relocated to the radiator grille, and the ambient lighting in the interior and a new multifunction steering wheel further enhance the driving experience.
03:47The new Sinkr infotainment system, which is displayed on the 12-inch touchscreen, offers seamless integration of Apple CarPlay and Android Auto as well as the Amazon Alexa Voice Assistant.
04:01With the help of the 5G onboard modem and the higher computing power, the system is ideally equipped for the future.
04:09With a starting price of €28,900, the Ford Puma is a very attractive alternative in the small-car SUV segment.
