00:22The Ford Mustang Mach-E has always been a serious contender in the electric SUV market, and Ford isn't resting on its laurels in 2025.
00:35Although it remains the second-best-selling electric SUV behind the Tesla Model Y, Ford has recognized that the competition is getting tougher.
00:42To keep up with this development, the MAI has been thoroughly revised for the 2025 model year, and at a better price.
00:54The new starting price is around €33,630.

01:24A heat pump uses the heat from the ambient air to warm the vehicle interior or the battery, even in cold temperatures.
01:32This saves battery capacity and ensures that the range is maintained in extreme weather conditions.
01:37This technology was already used in the Ford F50 Lightning, and it is nice to see that Ford is now also integrating it into the Mach.
01:49When I took a quick look at the 2025 MAI in upstate New York, I noticed that the front trunk is slightly flatter due to the heat pump.
01:56Ford engineers are aware of this fact, but consider it a fair compromise given the improved performance of the vehicle.
02:07In addition to the heat pump, there are also new technical gimmicks.
02:12For example, Ford has further improved its Blue Cruise system, which is comparable to Tesla's Autopilot or General Motors' Super Cruise.
02:19The new Blue Ease 1.5 enables the MAI to automatically change lanes if a slower vehicle is ahead or another vehicle is approaching too closely.
02:32Before changing lanes, the driver receives both visual and audible cues, and the display on the dashboard explains the reason for the upcoming lane change.
02:40Of course, the driver can intervene at any time by operating the steering wheel.
02:48Another new feature is the new column-mounted gear lever, which can be found in the 2025 models.
02:54This creates more storage space in the center console, as the previous rotary switch is now no longer needed.
02:59There is also a Sport Appearance Package for the Premium Trim, which adopts the sporty design elements of the GT model, such as the red Brembo brake calipers and 19-inch high-gloss black wheels.
03:12New colors are also available, including Molten Magenta Metallic Tinted Clear Coat, Velocity Blue Metallic and Desert Sand.

03:23The new Ford Connectivity Package includes a Wi-Fi hotspot for up to 10 devices, app access via the infotainment screen, and improved navigation with route planning and guidance.

03:44There are still two battery options, one with 72 kilowatt-hours and one with 91 kilowatt-hours.
03:53The premium variant with rear-wheel drive and the larger battery has an estimated range of around 515 kilometers on a single charge, according to the EPA.
04:03However, the introduction of the heat pump should significantly improve the vehicle's efficiency in extreme temperatures.
04:09Whether all these upgrades will be enough to keep the growing competition at bay remains to be seen.
04:18May faces strong opponents such as the Hyundai Ioniq 5, the Honda Pro Lodge, and the new electric SUVs from Chevrolet.
04:25But with these improvements, Ford is well-positioned to continue to assert itself as a serious option in the growing market for electric SUVs.
04:36The revised Mach-E will be available to order from early 2025.
