00:20The South Korean manufacturer Kia has published the price list for the two versions of the Niro EV available in the US.
00:26However, this model will remain reserved for the US market and is unlikely to be available in Germany or the rest of Europe.
00:36In this country, Kia is instead planning to introduce the new affordable compact SUV EV3, which will not be available for over a year.
00:46Until then, the Niro EV will remain an option in North America for all those looking for a spacious and attractively priced electric vehicle.
00:53The Kia Niro EV25 is offered in two versions.
00:59The basic win variant starts at $39,600, while the higher-end wave version is available from $44,600.
01:09Shipping costs of $3,570 are added.
01:13Compared to the prices of the 2023 model, which were $39,450 and $44,450, this represents a price increase of just $150, which is likely due to inflation.
01:29Converted to Euros, the prices are around €37,000 for the win variant and just under €41,800 for the wave variant based on current exchange rates.
01:39Both versions of the Niro EV3 are equipped with a battery with a capacity of 64.8 kWh, which enables a range of up to 253 miles according to the American EPA cycle.
01:53This corresponds to around 407 km.
01:56Charging at an AC wallbox with 11 kWh.
02:04If you're in a hurry, you can achieve an 80% charging capacity within 43 minutes at an ultra-fast DC charging station.
02:11The Kia Niro IV-1225 also has a lot to offer in terms of equipment.
02:18The manufacturer places particular emphasis on safety and has equipped the seatbelts in both versions with belt tensioners to increase the protection of the occupants.
02:29The wind version comes with a 10.25-inch instrument cluster and a rotary gear control.
02:34The wave version also offers advanced technologies such as an assistance system for avoiding collisions in the blind spot,
02:43an electrically adjustable front passenger seat, a head U display on the windshield and a parking assistance system.
02:52With this vehicle, Kia shows once again that they have their finger on the pulse of the times
02:57and can offer high-quality electric vehicles with modern technology at a reasonable price.
03:01Even if the Niro IV-225 is not coming to Europe,
03:07it remains an exciting model that will certainly find many customers in the USA.
