00:00Welcome to Tuning Blog's video on the Karma Invictus.
00:10This impressive vehicle from Karma Automotive is a strictly limited special edition and is based on the Rivero.
00:18A sedan that has been given a more powerful and modern appearance compared to the original Fisker Karma, which was introduced around 15 years ago.
00:25The Invictus is particularly notable for its carbon fiber bodywork, which emphasizes the sporty look and reduces the weight.
00:37This includes the hood, roof and trunk as well as the fenders made of carbon fiber, which even have functional air vents above the front wheels.
00:46The carbon fiber design is also continued on the front and sides.
00:49The radiator grille, side skirts, rear spoiler and diffuser are made of this lightweight material and ensure a striking appearance.
01:00The look is rounded off by black logos and 21-inch aluminum wheels, which are fitted with slightly wider Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires to improve driving dynamics.
01:11The interior is also classy, albeit more subtle.
01:14The front seats are heated and ventilated and feature a special masterpiece reminiscent of the Art Deco style of the Kressler Building in New York.
01:24This pattern is also continued on the door panels and center console.
01:30The headrests feature elegant embroidery, while the door sills are made of anodized aluminum, which reinforces the overall impression of luxury.
01:38In terms of technology, the Karma Invictus is equipped with an advanced electric drivetrain, which comprises a turbocharged engine with a displacement of 1.5 liters, a battery with 28 kilowatt hours and two electric motors.
01:54This combination produces an impressive 536 horsepower and a maximum torque of 745 newton meters.
02:01The purely electric range is around 129 kilometers.
02:10Acceleration from 0 to 60 miles per hour, or around 96 kilometers per hour, now takes just 3.7 seconds, faster than the previous 4.5 seconds of the Rivero.
02:23Presumably due to the weight savings and improved grip.
02:26The Karma Invictus also gets a revised chassis, equipped with special Ohlins struts and swift springs.
02:37According to Karma Automotive, the steering is more direct and precise, and the vehicle offers improved traction, which provides more stability in corners and on uneven surfaces.
02:46It sounds promising on paper and we are curious to see how these updates affect the driving experience in real life.
02:59Production is limited to just 30 examples, and while Karma has not yet announced a price or exact delivery times, this car is likely to remain an exclusive purchase.
