00:07which hasn't been officially unveiled yet. There are only two photos so far, but the vehicle is
00:13already attracting attention. The plug-in hybrid station wagon was unveiled by the Chinese
00:18regulatory authority ahead of its premiere. With a length of 4.9 meters and an electric range of
00:25to 83 kilometers according to CTC, it is designed as an affordable family car and could soon be
00:31available in Europe. The Baud CLO6DMI sedan was already introduced in China on May 28, 2024,
00:40where it started with a price of around 13,000 euros. The model was one of the first to receive
00:48BYD's latest fifth-generation DM hybrid system. Its success in China speaks for itself. From May
00:552024 to February 25, 220,736 units were sold. BYD has now applied for approval for the station wagon.
01:05Visually, the Silo6DMI station wagon is very similar to its sedan counterpart.
01:11It features a large trapezoidal air intake and sharply defined headlights,
01:15typical of BYD's Ocean series. A continuous tail light, flush door handles and a slightly sloping
01:22roofline with black pillars characterize the design. The body measures 4.9 meters in length,
01:291.9 meters in width and 1.5 meters in height. The wheelbase is 2.8 meters.
01:37The vehicle can be mounted on 17 or 18-inch wheels, while the front and rear overhangs are 98 centimeters
01:43and 1 meter respectively. The approach angles are 13 and 14 degrees. The curb weight is between 1.7 and 1.8
01:52tons. The basic version of the Silo6DMI station wagon combines a 1.5L naturally aspirated engine with
01:5999 horsepower with an electric motor that produces 164 horsepower. The energy is supplied by a 10-kWh
02:07blade LFP battery from Findreams, which enables a purely electric range of up to 53 kilometers.
02:13Due to the lower air resistance, the sedan version with the same drivetrain can reach up to 80 kilometers in electric
02:20mode. The more powerful version of the station wagon uses the same combustion engine, combined with an
02:27electric motor that produces 219 horsepower. This version is equipped with a 50.9-kilowatt-hour battery,
02:36which enables an electric range of 83 kilometers. For comparison, the sedan with this battery can
02:43achieve up to 120 kilometers according to CLTC. While station wagons are not particularly popular
02:50in China, the Silo6DMI station wagon could soon be launched on the huge market due to BYD's European
