00:04Today we're talking about the newly launched BYD Dolphin,
00:08which is available in China with the brand new God's IC Driver Assistance System.
00:13The electric compact car was recently introduced in China and is now available at dealerships.
00:20Depending on the equipment, the vehicle is priced between around €12,700 and €5,900,
00:26which means that the extensively equipped facelift model is even cheaper than its predecessor.
00:33The new BYD Dolphin was first registered for sales license in China on December 9
00:38and was officially announced at the end of February with the latest God's IC Assistance System.
00:45The model has been available in stores since March 4 and the first examples have already
00:49arrived at Chinese dealerships. The visual revision is significant.
00:56The door fin gets larger headlights, a larger trapezoidal air intake opening and a sportier
01:01front bumper. In addition, recessed door handles are now used instead of the previous retractable
01:09version. The taillight unit with an integrated BYD logo is located on the tailgate instead of the
01:16previous Build Your Dreams lettering. The new model is larger overall than its predecessor and
01:22measures around 4.3 meters in length, 1.8 meters in width and 1.6 meters in height with a wheelbase of 2.7 meters.
01:31Interestingly, the European version is still 10 millimeters longer.
01:34As standard, the Dolphin rolls on either 195 tires with 16 inch or 205 tires with 17 inch rims.
01:43The changes to the interior are even more extensive. The BYD Dolphin now has a new three-spoke steering
01:51wheel. The gear selector lever is positioned behind it. The 8.8-inch digital instrument cluster is also new.
01:59The center dashboard has been freed from physical controls and offers a 12.8-inch screen and six
02:08speakers as standard. The center tunnel also features a wireless smartphone charging pad with
02:1550 watts of power. A can feature is the aforementioned GOTS IC assistance system with three
02:21cameras below the windshield. Among other things, this offers an autopilot mode for navigation at high
02:28speeds and supports 10 different driving scenarios. Asitimus will follow in a later update.
02:35There are three drivetrain variants. A basic version with 94 horsepower and 45.1 kilowatts
02:42hours LFP battery for up to 420 kilometers range. A mid-range version with the equivalent of 176 horsepower,
02:51also 45.1 kilowatts hours and 410 kilometers range, and the top version with 204 horsepower,
02:5860.5 kilowatts hours LFP battery and up to 520 kilometers range.
