00:11all-new 2026 Honda New Saloon, a visionary electric sedan that impressively embodies
00:16Honda's ambitions for the future. Honda caused a great stir at the CES 2025 in Las Vegas with
00:25the unveiling of the prototypes of the new Zero series. The trade fair, known for its insights
00:31into technological innovations, provided the ideal setting to showcase Honda's electric future.
00:37With the newer saloon as its flagship model, Honda plans to introduce an entirely new range
00:42of electric vehicles from 2026, accompanied by an SUV model. A total of seven new i-models are set
00:51to hit the global market by 2030. To achieve this goal, Honda is investing an impressive
00:56$60 billion, including in the construction of an EV and battery factory in Canada.
01:03This facility in Alistair, Ontario, will produce 240,000 vehicles per year from 2028,
01:10thus significantly driving Honda's electric expansion.
01:15The Honda Newan impresses with its striking design, which is reminiscent of the signature
01:19style of legendary Italian coachbuilders. At almost 5 meters long, it resembles a futuristic spaceship,
01:27whose angular lines and minimalist changes compared to the 2024 concept model deliberately polarize
01:33opinions. The focus is not only on the look, but also on maximum use of space, which is made possible
01:41by a particularly flat battery in the underbody. This design creates space for the autonomous driving
01:48of the future, which Honda wants to perfect in this saloon.
01:53The technical basis of the Honda Noon saloon is a completely new EVA architecture.
01:58Two compact electric motors, one at the front and one at the rear, produce a combined output of 313 horsepower,
02:05245 horsepower at the front and 68 horsepower at the rear.
02:09The energy supply is provided by a powerful lithium-ion battery with a capacity of 80 kilowatt-hours,
02:16which enables a range of around 500 kilometers.
02:20These values show that Honda is focusing on both performance and everyday usability when developing
02:25the saloon.
02:28The prototypes currently still have a 400-volt architecture.
02:31By the time the car is ready for series production in 2026, however, a switch to 800 volts could take place,
02:38which would significantly improve fast charging capability.
02:42Particularly noteworthy is the vehicle's technological features, which are set to set new standards.
02:49With Asimo OS, an operating system based on the technology of the well-known humanoid robot Asimo,
02:55Honda is introducing Level 3 Autonomous Driving.
02:58This technology enables the vehicle to take control in all driving situations,
03:05allowing the driver to devote themselves to other activities.
03:11Self-learning artificial intelligence helps the system to better understand the intentions of the occupants
03:16and thus enable intuitive interaction.
03:21Honda aims to become a global leader in the development of such autonomous systems,
03:25which no longer require eye contact with the road.
03:28With the Honda N-Zero saloon, Honda is not only introducing another electric vehicle,
03:34but is redefining the future of mobility.
