00:38Andrew Herson, a passionate tuner from New South Wales, Australia, set himself the goal of creating the ultimate Skyline GTR R33, with an impressive 800 horsepower engine.
00:51The Nissan Skyline GTR R33 is already a real rarity today.
00:58Only around 16,000 examples of this legendary Japanese sports coupe were built between 1993 and 1998.
01:05The limited special versions such as the GTR N1 and the Nismo 400R are particularly sought after.
01:16While only around 87 examples of the N1 were produced, only 44 of the original 99 Nismo 400R models have survived.
01:23This extreme exclusivity makes them highly sought-after collectors' items and drives their prices to incredible heights.
01:34One example of this is an original 400R trunk badge, which was recently offered for almost 38,000 euros, even though it was not immaculate.
01:43Since the GTR R33 he wanted was not available in series production, he decided to build it himself.
01:59The result is the 400N1.
02:01A fascinating combination of the best features of the N1 and 400R models.
02:08Visually, Hanneson has adopted the design features of the 400R and thus raised the N1 to a new level.
02:14The car impresses with wide, aggressive aprons at the front and rear, a hood with scoop, widened sills and wheel arches, and the striking XL wing with carbon flap on the boot lid.
02:29Racing stripes and the 400R lettering on the flanks complete the dynamic look.
02:33But the 400N1 is not just an eye-catcher.
02:38At the heart of this Restomod beats an RB260 engine, which has been boosted from the original 400hp to an incredible 800hp.
02:47The engine owes this impressive performance to high-quality components from renowned manufacturers such as HKS and PHP.
02:55But the improvements do not stop at the engine.
02:59Hanneson and his team have further optimized the skyline.
03:02A lighter carbon driveshaft, a modified exhaust system, a stronger clutch, and a stiffer suspension with Bilstein dampers ensure outstanding performance.
03:16The car is also around 30kg lighter than a standard GTRR 33, as weight reductions and an aerodynamically optimized body make the Restomod even more efficient.
03:27The 400N1 also remains true to its stylish and sporty concept inside.
03:32Many original parts of the 400 style have been retained, including the front seats, steering wheel and floor mats from the final GTRR 33 Special Edition.
03:42The driving experience is provided by a manual 5-speed transmission, which is designed with a long gear lever for an authentic driving experience.
03:52Andrew Hanneson is currently still enjoying his unique skyline himself and recently proudly showed the car off at the PRP GTR Festival in Texas.
04:03However, he plans to sell the 400N1 in the future for an estimated price of around 375,000 euros.
04:13This price may seem high at first glance, but when you consider the outstanding performance, the extraordinary design and the incomparable uniqueness of this vehicle, it is well justified.
