00:12The Z703F Adventure is coming to Europe in 2024 and is a relatively lightweight and
00:19off-road capable touring enduro with a powerful three-cylinder engine that produces 95hp.
00:24Best of all, it offers sensational equipment at an equally impressively low price of just 7,992 euros.
00:34Until now, the Chinese motorcycle manufacturer Zontas, a brand of Guangdong to motorcycle technology
00:40company. Limited, was known for single-cylinder engines with displacements of 125 to 350cc.
00:48With the new 700cc inline three-cylinder engine, Zs is now moving up a gear.
00:53The first to come is the Z703F Adventure Touring Enduro. In September 2024, it was announced that
01:01the Zontas 703F would be coming to Europe that same year. It will initially be available in Spain from
01:08December 2024 for just 7,992 euros, including a five-year warranty. That's a sensational price,
01:17especially for this vehicle category and the exceptionally extensive equipment.
01:22The three-cylinder engine with 699cc displacement and the enduro configuration of the Z703F Adventure
01:30delivers up to 97hp at 10,000 rpm and 76Nm of torque at 7,500 rpm.
01:38In Europe, it's 95hp, which allows the engine to be throttled back to 48hp to qualify for the
01:48European A2 driver's license. Zs offers a six-speed gearbox with a quickshifter for upshifts and
01:56traction control. Fuel consumption is stated at 5 liters per 100 kilometers. The chassis of the
02:04Zontas 703F Adventure is made of aluminum. The mainframe reportedly weighs just 11 kilograms
02:10and the bolted-on rear frame 3.8 kilograms. The two-arm rear swingarm is also made of lightweight
02:18aluminum. With a full 22-liter fuel tank, the CZT-703F weighs in at 236 kilograms, making it
02:27relatively light for a touring enduro bike in this category. The enduro chassis features a 21-inch
02:34front wheel and an 18-inch rear wheel. The upside-down telescopic fork and central shock absorber
02:40are from Mazoki, are fully adjustable, and offer 180 millimeters of travel at the wheel axles.
02:49The brake calipers on the dual front and rear discs are from Brembo's Yuan sublabel and are
02:54fully ABS-controlled. With tubeless cross-spoke wheels and deep tread Michelin tires in sizes
03:00909021 at the front and 15018 at the rear, this adventure bike is also a true enduro.
03:08A tire pressure monitoring system is also included. Other key specifications include a wheelbase of
03:1510,565 millimeters and a seat height of 845 mm. The extensive and state-of-the-art equipment on the
03:22Zonti's 703F is particularly impressive. It features an electrically adjustable windshield
03:29and two different windshield heights as standard. A blind spot warning system with rear radar is also
03:36included. Heated grips, illuminated handlebar switches, hand protectors, a generous aluminum
03:43engine guard, and a center and side stand are also standard. Osram LED lights are now standard.
03:52Another highlight are the two full HD cameras at the front and rear with 128 gigabytes of data storage.
04:00The 6.7-inch TFT color display offers GPS navigation and smartphone connectivity with an app.
04:06There are also two USB sockets, a keyless entry system, and a lightweight lithium battery.
04:14The Zonti ZT703F Adventure went on sale in China at the end of April 2024 for 43,800 yuan,
04:23which is equivalent to approximately 5,600 euros. Rumor has it that a model variant with a 19-inch
04:29front wheel, a 17-inch rear wheel, and a slightly lower seat height will follow. In addition to the
04:35ZT703F Travel Enduro, Zs also presented the super sporty ZT703RR model at the IGMA trade fair in
04:44November 2023, also featuring the new inline three-cylinder engine and aluminum chassis.
04:49However, the RR is expected to have a different engine setup than the F.
04:53The REL's maximum torque of 75 Nm is only reached at 8,600 rpm, while the higher peak
05:01power of 110 hp is achieved at 11,000 rpm. It's remarkable that the previously assumed
05:09compression ratio of 30.51 is almost achieved in both setup variants at 130.1.
05:15further engine details include a bore of 70 mm and a stroke of 60.6 mm, double overhead cam
05:25shafts and four valves per cylinder, forged pistons, and a DLC coating to reduce friction
05:31losses and wear.
05:35Zonti's Travel Enduro and Supersport model could be followed by other models with this
05:40three-cylinder engine, such as a naked bike. These developments could pose serious competition
05:47to establish models such as the Yamaha MT-09 and Tracer 900, mid-range models from Triumph,
05:54or even the MV Augusta 800, and presumably at significantly lower prices.
06:01FONTES already has a distribution network in Europe, including Germany.
06:06Other Chinese manufacturers have also presented three-cylinder models, such as CF Moto.
06:12Images of the Zonti's three-cylinder engine, showing interesting details, have appeared
06:17in advance in the Chinese media. An oil filter with a Yamaha logo is hardly a coincidence,
06:22as a Chinese engine manufacturer probably doesn't need an original spare part from Japan.
06:28Further indications that the Zonti's three-cylinder resembles the Yamaha CP3 engine are the layout
06:34and design of the engine housing, including the cylinder head. There are also patent drawings
06:39of the aluminum bridge frame into which Zonti's integrates the three-cylinder engine.
06:45The structured lightweight construction and the design with two bolted frame halves appear
06:49to follow the Yamaha principle, although Zonti's is unlikely to have copied the shape of the
06:54MT-09 frame. A modern Raihin three-cylinder engine with over 100 horsepower. The Chinese
07:02manufacturer Thua had been announcing this since 2020. At the same time, development
07:07of a naked bike, a travel enduro, and even a Supersport model seemed to be underway, as
07:13was evident in sketches, or Koenig photos, and videos. At IGMA 2023, ZTi's finally presented
07:20the Supersport ZT703RR and the Travel Enduro ZT703F Adventure. In April 2024, the Triple
07:29Adventure was the first to hit the market in China, featuring astonishingly state-of-the-art
07:33equipment and 97 horsepower. The RR is scheduled to follow with 110 horsepower. At least the
07:39Enduro 703F is coming to Europe. With 95 horsepower, it is scheduled to be available in Spain from
