02:01Looks like we just hit the jack, huh?
02:06We recently revealed a new line of experimental weapons coming to our game.
02:13In this video, we are excited to go into detail on how they work and the devastating power you can dish out on enemies in Mousebird while you play as Jack Pepper, our game's protagonist.
02:28This one might be obvious from the name, but the freeze gun, you guessed it, freezes the enemies.
02:44It shoots a beam of ice that stops enemies in their tracks, leaving them vulnerable to being, well, shattered.
02:51You have a few options here.
02:54Whether it's a simple kick, swapping to another weapon, or, what we would recommend, using the freeze gun's alternate fire, which proposes a frost-covered snowball to finish the job.
03:04However, you have to be quick. The enemies won't stay frozen forever.
03:08Next up is the turpentine gun, which is a spiked D's mixture of toxins capable of erasing the worst enemies.
03:14It shoots fast-moving goo projectiles, effective at all ranges.
03:18With just a few shots, the enemies will succumb to its corrosive force and you will see them literally melt away.
03:24However, if you're dealing with multiple enemies at once, simply use its alt-fire mode.
03:30It shoots a blob of turpentine onto the ground, damaging all nearby enemies.
03:35And finally, our most mysterious weapon yet, the conscious gun.
03:39Think of it as a lethal form of mind control.
03:42Shooting enemies just a couple of times will stun them, buying you some breathing room.
03:46However, in larger quantities, these waves become deadly with mind-blowing results.
03:52If you're looking for something more precise, switch to the alt-fire, which shoots a focused beam that skips the stun altogether and goes straight into the head-popping.
04:00And then, in the end of the head of it.
04:04Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh.
04:27Ladies and gentlemen, we have an announcement to make.
04:57In a brave new world, anyone can be whoever they want to be, and nothing says you more

06:54P.I. for Hire is an upcoming first-person shooter developed by Fumi Games and published
07:19by Playside Studios, offering a strikingly original blend of 1930s film noir storytelling
07:25and rubber hose animation, all wrapped in a fast-paced modern gameplay framework.
07:31Set in the gritty, anthropomorphic metropolis of Mausburg, players step into the worn trench
07:36coat of Jack Pepper, a decorated war veteran turned cynical private investigator, whose
07:41latest case plunges him into the city's seedy underbelly of crime, corruption and conspiracy.
07:48The game's aesthetic stands as one of its defining achievements. Every frame is rendered
07:53in a hand-drawn, monochromatic style inspired by early animation icons like Max Fischer and
07:59Walt Disney's Silly Symphonies, but reinterpreted through a hard-boiled lens. This stylistic choice
08:05extends beyond visuals into the game's tone, with exaggerated character animations, period
08:10authentic textures and film grain effects that mimic the look of aged celluloid reels. Complementing
08:17this is a rich big band jazz soundtrack featuring live brass, upright bass and smoky saxophone
08:23solos that punctuate both tense shootouts and quiet investigative interludes, capturing the
08:28pulse of the noir era with meticulous authenticity.
08:33At its core, Maus PI for Hire is a hybrid of a high-energy first-person shooter and an investigative
08:38adventure, seamlessly transitioning between chaotic gunfights and atmospheric exploration.
08:45Players traverse a variety of locations across Mausburg, including decaying opera houses, glitzy
08:51movie studios, industrial docklands, underground speakeasies and labyrinthine sewers, all interconnected
08:57through a semi-open, Metroidvania-inspired structure.
09:02This design encourages revisiting old areas after acquiring new traversal tools, such as
09:07the grapple hook, double jump boots or the ink roller dash, which allow access to hidden
09:12rooms, side quests and collectibles. The city itself is alive with ambient characters, flickering
09:19neon signs and environmental storytelling. Billboards advertise product masking criminal fronts, graffiti
09:26hints at suppressed revolutions, and allies echo with snippets of overheard dialogue revealing
09:31the decaying moral fabric of Mausburg.
09:35Combat is where the game's whimsical visuals collide with visceral mechanics. Jack Pepper's
09:40arsenal is both creative and brutal. Traditional revolvers and tommy guns coexist alongside absurd
09:46cartoon-inspired inventions, such as the turpentine gun, which melts enemies into inky puddles.
09:52The freeze gun, turning foes into ice sculptures that can be shattered for crowd control. The
09:57popcorn grenade, scattering shrapnel that explodes with slapstick flare. And the ink cannon, a heavy
10:04weapon that blinds enemies in a splash of black and white. The interplay of cartoon physics with
10:09realistic damage models produces encounters that are chaotic yet tactical, as players must manage
10:15limited ammo, power-ups, and movement abilities to survive against mob bosses, mutant thugs, and
10:21mechanized enforcers. Enemies vary widely in behaviour, from trench-coated gangsters who take cover and
10:27coordinate flanks, to grotesque, malformed ink spawn born from corrupted animation reels, which rush the
10:34player in erratic, unpredictable patterns. Now you can enjoy the screenshots without any interruption. Enjoy!
