After heartbreak came healing. 💗 Joanna, who lost her baby in 2021, reunited with the DMC Huron Valley-Sinai team who helped her welcome a new life. Her story of hope and strength highlights Pregnancy And Infant Loss Awareness Month.

00:05guests to arrive. And there they come, the Tarongo family from Commerce Township.
00:12Mum Joanna suffered a stillbirth with her son Landon in 2021.
00:16Fast forward to today, Joanna and dad Kevin get to reintroduce baby Laney to the staff and thank
00:22them for getting them through the most challenging of times. The NIH, the National Institutes of
00:27Health estimates one in four women experienced pregnancy loss in their lifetime. And for Joanna,
00:32this revisit was a must. Oh my gosh, it's amazing. They've helped me so much. I can't even express
00:38my gratitude towards them. So as Laney gets to know everyone, Joanna's doctor says for those
00:43that have experienced pregnancy loss, communication is key. The most important piece is an open
00:49communication with the provider. So as we wrap up this pregnancy and infant loss awareness month,
00:53a chance to get one last photo with a DMC team that not only held Joanne and Kevin's hand,
