00:00Now Tesla is higher this morning after Elon Musk posted that quote. Daddy is very much home. He
00:06says he will spend the week assessing Tesla's AI and autopilot ambitions. He talks about walking
00:13around the giant data center that he's building Colossus to. And then he's going to be in meetings
00:18for up to 12 hours. He says they're back to back. Craig Trudell runs Bloomberg's global auto
00:23coverage. And Craig, it's a little bit weird to me that Elon Musk is tweeting out his schedule.
00:28Does this mean he wasn't really working at Tesla anymore before the trillion dollar
00:33pay package? Yeah, he's home very much implies that he was away for a time. And I mean, this
00:41is in keeping with what he wants wants us to think. Right. It's it's very much a narrative
00:46play on his part and on the part of Tesla's board of of laying out this new master plan
00:52for the company, putting targets that are sort of aligned with that plan out there.
00:58to get everybody excited about about the future, you know, making those targets, you know,
01:05sort of tying them to paying Musk again, because that worked out well the last time. And, you
01:11know, meanwhile, the company, I think that the real question is, is the business actually
01:17doing any better? And we aren't really getting indications that it is in terms of, you know,
01:23vehicle sales here in Europe have really been weak in China. The company has has been, you know,
01:29seeing a very consistent declines in shipments from its factory in Shanghai and in the U.S.
01:35continue. Tesla continues to lose share of the EV market, which is really going to be challenged
01:41after tax credits go away as a result of of the Republicans, you know, doing away with inflation
01:48reduction act tax credits.
