US President Donald Trump has once again asserted that India will “completely stop” purchasing oil from Russia, even as New Delhi maintains that its energy choices are based on national interests. Speaking aboard Air Force One on Saturday, Trump claimed that while China is significantly reducing Russian oil imports, India has halted them entirely, citing the latest U.S. sanctions on Russian energy giants Rosneft and Lukoil.

00:00:00And at the top of this hour, we're getting some breaking news.
00:00:02U.S. President Donald Trump says India cutting back Russian oil purchases completely.
00:00:07Donald Trump once again claimed that India is going to stop buying oil from Russia,
00:00:12emphasizing that India is cutting back Russian oil purchases completely,
00:00:17while China will cut back very substantially.
00:00:20That's the remark that has been made by U.S. President Donald Trump,
00:00:23talking to reporters on board Air Force One on his way to Malaysia for the ASEAN summit.
00:00:30Trump said that India is cutting back Russian oil purchases completely.
00:00:35While responding to a question about raising the issue of Russian oil with Chinese President Xi Jinping
00:00:40during their meeting, Trump said that he might discuss Russian oil purchases with Xi Jinping.
00:00:47India Today Global's Pranayupadeh is now joining us with more details on this.
00:00:51Pranayupadeh, Donald Trump has yet again made this claim that India is cutting back on oil purchases from Russia completely
00:00:58and that China will also do so substantially.
00:01:05Cut down, come down, you know, cut down happens completely or substantially or, you know,
00:01:11what exactly is the amount?
00:01:13Because President Donald Trump has also said it earlier that, you know,
00:01:17this cut down won't happen, you know, immediately.
00:01:20This will be a gradual process.
00:01:21And we have to see because after the U.S. sanctions on Rosneft and Luke oil,
00:01:27there is going to be an impact on Indian oil purchases from Russia.
00:01:31And the private purchasers like Reliance and some of the other players,
00:01:37they have to see what impact they have on their businesses.
00:01:40And that's why the likelihood is that they might consider a cut down on Russian oil
00:01:46to avoid any impact of the U.S. sanctions.
00:01:49But how it will happen, when it will happen, we have to see the process.
00:01:55But President Donald Trump, as you know, that he always makes these claims
00:01:59and he always makes, you know, big statements.
00:02:02So, we have to see what exactly comes to the ground and the exact process, how it proceeds.
00:02:09All right, Pranay, thank you for that context.
00:02:11But do stay with us as we're getting some more breaking news.
00:02:14And External Affairs Minister S.J. Shankar meets U.S. State Secretary Rubio in Malaysia.
00:02:27S.J. Shankar Rubio meeting on the sidelines of the ASEAN summit.
00:02:31And amid talks on cutting down Russian oil purchase,
00:02:35S.J. Shankar says talks are on bilateral ties and regional issues.
00:02:40So, S.J. Shankar and Mark Rubio met in Malaysia on the sidelines of the ASEAN summit.
00:02:48And this meeting also comes.
00:02:49Summit talks on cutting down Russian oil purchases.
00:02:52My colleague Pranay Rupadhyay continues to stay with us with more details on this.
00:02:55Pranay, give us more details about what all was discussed in this meeting.
00:03:00It's a very important and significant meeting to see and see that, you know,
00:03:05this meeting happened at a time when India and the United States are facing difficult issues,
00:03:10including the Russian oil purchase, the pending bilateral trade agreement,
00:03:14and various other aspects, like including the increased bonhomie between the United States and Pakistan.
00:03:22And so that's why all these issues were discussed during the meeting of External Affairs Minister S.J. Shankar
00:03:28and Secretary of State Marco Rubio, and in fact, they discussed how to proceed and how to progress.
00:03:34This meeting happened in the backdrop of the recent statement by Secretary Marco Rubio,
00:03:39where he said that United States' relations with India are very significant
00:03:43and it is of great importance for the United States,
00:03:45that is not at the cost of the increased bonhomie or the, you know,
00:03:52the relation with Pakistan or the strategic partnership with Pakistan
00:03:57is not at the cost of the relation with India
00:03:59because India and the United States share a comprehensive global strategic partnership
00:04:05and that relationship is important for both the countries.
00:04:10And that's why this meeting is very crucial
00:04:12and we have to see that, you know, how, as you rightly pointed it out,
00:04:16that in the backdrop of the Russian oil purchase issue
00:04:20and in the backdrop of the defending bilateral trade agreement,
00:04:23this meeting of Dr. Jai Shankar and Marco Rubio is important
00:04:28and we have to see that what is the net outcome of it
00:04:31because whenever these two leaders have met a few months ago,
00:04:38External Affairs Minister Dr. Jai Shankar traveled to the United States,
00:04:41he had a meeting and thereafter we have seen how things progress
00:04:44in terms of the bilateral trade agreement,
00:04:47in terms of even statement by the U.S. President Donald Trump.
00:04:51So we have to see what exactly is the net outcome
00:04:53but definitely it is a positive engagement between India and United States
00:04:58and both the leaders have kept the contact
00:05:01even with their phone calls, with their engagements
00:05:05and through the social media as well.
00:05:08Right. Pranay, thank you so much for all those details
00:05:11and for that context, indeed, a positive engagement
00:05:14between India and the United States.
00:05:20External Affairs Minister Jai Shankar is attending
00:05:22the 47th ASEAN Summit in Kuala Lumpur,
00:05:25reaffirming India's engagement with Southeast Asian nations.
00:05:28Jai Shankar held talks with the Malaysian Prime Minister
00:05:31on the sidelines of the summit
00:05:32and discussed bilateral and regional cooperation.
00:05:35He also met with South Korean Foreign Minister Cho Hume
00:05:38and other foreign leaders to strengthen strategic ties.
00:05:42Jai Shankar is now set to meet
00:05:43U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio on the ASEAN sidelines.
00:05:48He has already met him
00:05:49and it was a positive engagement between both the sides.
00:05:53They discussed bilateral ties as well in the meeting.
00:05:56And earlier, Prime Minister Narendra Modi
00:05:59addressed ASEAN leaders virtually reaffirming
00:06:01that India stands strong with ASEAN nations.
00:06:04Highlighting shared values, Modi said,
00:06:07ASEAN countries make up for a quarter
00:06:09of the world's population
00:06:10and are not just trade partners,
00:06:12but also cultural allies.
00:06:14Declaring 2026 as the year of India,
00:06:16ASEAN Maritime Cooperation,
00:06:19Prime Minister Modi emphasized ASEAN's role
00:06:21as a key pillar of India's ACT-EAST policy.
00:06:26This country is the UK's mind and the UK's mind.

00:08:53The Vakf Rao continues to escalate in pole-bound Bihar.
00:08:57After Tijiswi Adav's vow that he will abolish the Vakf Act if he becomes the Chief Minister,
00:09:02the Congress has now double-domed the statement of the Mahagat Pandan Chief Ministerial phase,
00:09:07alleging that the Vakf law enables the BJP to seize Muslim land and demolish graves.
00:09:12Congress leader Ashur Dalvi has gone a step further, saying that the India Alliance will abolish all anti-Muslim laws if it forms the government in 2029.
00:09:21The Congress leader has also called for a Muslim Deputy Chief Minister in Bihar,
00:09:27saying that Muslims are compelled to strengthen the opposition to oust the BJP
00:09:31and the 19% Muslim population of the state should not be ignored.
00:09:35Meanwhile, the NDA camp put up a show of unity as Chief Minister Nitish Kumar visited Union Minister Chirag Paswan at his Patna residence.
00:09:43After the visit, Chirag Paswan dismissed opposition stocks of a rift,
00:09:47saying that the Chief Minister's visit made Chhat Pooja even more joyful.
00:09:51He added that he is confident that the NDA will form the government with a big victory.
00:09:56Ahead of the polls, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is all set to visit Patna on November 2nd.
00:10:00Tejaspri Yadav has accused Prime Minister of coming to cheat Bihar,
00:10:04demanding accountability on what he has done for the state.
00:10:07The question in the comments.
00:10:10So, what is that question?
00:10:11What is that question?
00:10:13All came in the stores.
00:10:15In the stores, everyone came here.
00:10:16What will happen to come from coming?
00:10:17What's going to happen from Bihar?

00:10:31Please check this out.
00:10:34There is something else we need.
00:10:36Tell us about how much of Gujarat and how much of Bihar has given us in 11 years.
00:10:41We don't need anything.
00:10:43If you have an agenda or a government member,
00:10:46we have the parliament's framework for the parliament.
00:10:49We have the parliament's framework for the parliament.
00:10:52It is true that the time of the law has passed the parliament, but this law is in the enemy of the Muslims.
00:11:02This law is not because of the protection of the land and the church.
00:11:11This law is because of the government of the B.J.P. who is in the enemy of the Jews.
00:11:18This law is a great proof of the Muslims.
00:11:24We have to give a message about how many of you are.
00:11:29What is happening?
00:11:30If you read it, you will see that this is what they are doing.
00:11:33The poor Muslims to give their rights to their rights.
00:11:37This is what they are doing.
00:11:40But if you want to make a vote banque, then you will not have a suit.
00:11:46But the way of the law is, there is no difference.
00:11:48Their family will take steps to the Bihar.
00:11:54Their government will take steps to the Congress.
00:11:58Their government will take steps to the State of the country.
00:12:02where did they go?
00:12:07They had the same time
00:12:09in the past,
00:12:11the people,
00:12:12the brothers,
00:12:14the people,
00:12:15and their work.
00:12:17Their name is the jungle king in Bihar.
00:12:20The jungle king today

00:12:30So Bihar is gearing up for a high-voltage assembly election.
00:12:37The latest flashpoint is RJD promising to abolish Vakf law.
00:12:41The remark has now sparked political controversy.
00:12:43The BJP has attacked the RJD, saying that the party's intention is to seize the land and bring Jangal Raj, which is now clear.
00:12:51Here's a news report.
00:13:00An explosive new flashpoint in state-of-war Bihar.
00:13:10Mahagadbandhan Chief Minister Faiz Tijeshwi Yadav has vowed to throw the Vakfak to dustbin if elected to power.
00:13:30RJD had earlier threatened those who backed Vakf law, promising to deal with them.
00:13:42The threat by an RJD MLC came while Tijeshwi was on the dais.
00:13:46The Vakf law has to treat the Vakf law.
00:14:16Rijiju slammed RJD, is insulting Parliament and Supreme Court by targeting the Vakf law.
00:14:22BJP attacked Tijeshwi, saying the party's intention is to grab land using Vakf and bring back Jangal Raj.
00:14:28Atijeshwi pledged to give 50 lakh rupees insurance cover to panchayats was lampooned by the JDU, which called it nonsensical talk.
00:14:57God bless the Vakf and bring back.

00:25:55She is the name of the person who has done this action.
00:25:59A 20-year student was attacked with acid near the Lakshmibai College.
00:26:17Currently, I am here near the Lakshmibai College where this incident took place and I'll show
00:26:22you in the visual. The Delhi police has marked the crime scene. According to victim, three
00:26:26accused came on the motorcycle and according to student Ishaan, Arman and Jitender came
00:26:32on the motorcycle and Ishaan handed bottle to Arman and he threw acid on her. And after
00:26:38that, she was admitted to hospital where she has sustained injuries on her hand, 5% burns.
00:26:44But I'll also show you in the visual that this incident took place here on the main road,
00:26:48just 100 to 150 meters away from the Lakshmibai College. She was not a student of the Lakshmibai
00:26:54College, but she was going towards the college for the special classes. Delhi police has formed
00:26:59various teams to search and nab the three accused in this case. Jitender, one of the accused,
00:27:06was known to the victim and the victim is now admitted to RML hospital where she is going
00:27:11under the treatment and Delhi police has formed the teams and even FSL team came here. They
00:27:16have marked the sport. And yes, this issue has now raised a big question on women's safety
00:27:23national capital with cameraman Rohit Kumar Mishra, Anmool Bali, Delhi.
00:27:27And at the top of this hour, we're getting some breaking news. Madhya Pradesh Minister shames
00:27:31molested Australian women cricketers. Vijay Vargya calls it a lesson for women cricketers. He says,
00:27:37female players must inform before leaving the hotel. So shocking statement coming to the fore from Madhya Pradesh
00:27:44Minister Kailash Vijay Vargya, who has shamed the molested Australian women cricketers, calling
00:27:49it a lesson for them and also saying that female players must inform before leaving the hotel. Listen.

00:29:49two Australian women cricketers who were molested
00:29:51by a man. We're showing you the visuals
00:29:53of the accused as well on your screens right now
00:29:55who were molested by a man in
00:29:57Madhya Pradesh, Indore. They should
00:29:59learn a lesson from this
00:30:01incident as what the Madhya Pradesh
00:30:03minister is saying and he is also
00:30:05saying that they should have informed
00:30:07before leaving the hotel.
00:30:13So Madhya Pradesh Minister Kailash
00:30:15Vijay Varga Stokes controversy by shaming
00:30:17the molested Australian women cricketers
00:30:19remember India is hosting
00:30:21the ICC Women's World Cup. The Australian
00:30:23players are in India
00:30:25for the tournament and
00:30:27the two Australian women
00:30:29cricketers had left from the
00:30:31hotel Redison Blue to a cafe
00:30:33and while they were on their way they were
00:30:35molested by the accused
00:30:37the visuals we are showing
00:30:39you on your screens right now
00:30:41this is the accused on the right side
00:30:43and this man molested the two
00:30:45Australian cricketers and now the Madhya Pradesh
00:30:47minister is blaming the Australian
00:30:49cricketers for the molestation
00:30:52of the
00:31:08We have to leave our security and the local administration to tell us about our security and the local administration.
00:31:15Because this is a big craze.
00:31:18This is a big craze.
00:31:20This is a big craze for England.
00:31:23I saw the clothes of clothes.
00:31:26We had coffee in our hotel.
00:31:28We were sitting there.
00:31:31There were so many new people.
00:31:33There was an autograph.
00:31:35There was some clothes.
00:31:37There was a big craze for football.
00:31:39I'm not forgetting the name of England.
00:31:41Sometimes, it doesn't feel the clothes of clothes.
00:31:46The clothes are very people.
00:31:48That's why they keep the clothes.
00:31:50We will keep the clothes.
00:31:52This is for everyone's purpose.
00:31:53It is for our purpose.
00:31:54And the clothes of clothes.
00:31:56And we're now being joined by Congress Party's Mumtaz Patel on the broadcast.
00:32:00Ms. Patel, very shocking remark coming to the fore from Madhya Pradesh Minister Kailash Vijaywargya
00:32:05after two Australian women cricketers were molested in Indore.
00:32:09The minister is now blaming the cricketers saying that they should have informed before leaving from the hotel
00:32:14and that they should learn a lesson from this incident.
00:32:17How do you see this remark?
00:32:19No, this is absolutely shocking.
00:32:21And this is no way to justify a situation like this.
00:32:25Because, I mean, to say that, inform somebody before you venture out.
00:32:31What does that say about our country?
00:32:33And it is not as if everybody has some contact name.
00:32:36These might be women cricketers.
00:32:38It's fine.
00:32:39There is a body or authority behind them.
00:32:42That's okay.
00:32:43But this has become a usual situation in India.
00:32:47I mean, last year the U.S. had issued an advisory against women traveling to India because it's not safe.
00:32:53What does that say about our country?
00:32:55What does that say about our people?
00:32:56And it is not just these foreigners day in and day out.
00:33:00Even in Madhya Pradesh in the last few months, in Odisha,
00:33:04so many states we've been seeing horrific rape cases.
00:33:07There is definitely a major law and order issue.
00:33:10But when it comes to ministers like Kailash Vijaywarge who give statements like these,
00:33:15then obviously that means that, that means that the administration is not taking strict actions
00:33:23and they're finding, they're doing what about tree to justify such incidents.
00:33:28Right.
00:33:29Ms. Patel, this is not the first time that such a thing has happened earlier.
00:33:32We've seen West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee also blaming the victims.
00:33:38How should the political leaders, you know, be cautioned while making such remarks,
00:33:43especially on such sensitive issues?
00:33:46Exactly.
00:33:47They need to be sensitive when issues are sensitive.
00:33:50They need to be more empathetic.
00:33:51They need to understand.
00:33:52And plus, they're all, whether it's Mamata Banerjee,
00:33:55whether it's chief ministers of all these BJP rule states, wherever.
00:34:00I'm talking about every person who has authority, who is in power.
00:34:04They need to be sensitive.
00:34:05They need to be empathetic.
00:34:07And they need to be strict about the actions that are going to be taken against the perpetrators.
00:34:14So, when you don't set an example, when you don't set harsh laws, people run free.
00:34:20And obviously, when it happens to foreign women, it brings a bad name to the country also.
00:34:27The laws have to be stricter.
00:34:29It does not help when people in power speak like this.
00:34:32Absolutely.
00:34:33Ms. Patel, thank you so much for joining us on the broadcast and for speaking to India today.
00:34:37We're now being joined by Madhya Pradesh Congress President Jitu Patwari on the broadcast.
00:34:41Jitu Patwari Ji, there are a lot of apatty-janak-biyan in front of the Kailash Vijay Vargya,
00:34:47those who have been responsible for the Australian cricketers,
00:34:50who have taken responsibility for them, which has been thrown away with them.
00:34:53How do you see this statement?
00:34:55Jitu Patel, this is a very important statement.
00:34:57It is all that the country has been taken to the members of the Kailash Vijay Vargya.
00:35:02The members of the Kailash Vijay Party are in the public part of the Kailash Vijay Vargya,
00:35:07which is the member of the Kailash Vijay Vargya,
00:35:12the member of the Kailash Vijay Vargya,
00:35:14which comes from the Kailash Vijay Vargya.
00:35:46We are now being joined by BJP
00:36:13The Madhya Pradesh spokesperson
00:36:14Hitesh Bajpayee on the broadcast
00:36:15Mr. Bajpayee, Kailash Vijayavargia
00:36:17Has now stoked a controversy
00:36:19With his remark saying
00:36:20That the Australian women cricketers
00:36:22Should learn a lesson from
00:36:24The molestation that they faced
00:36:26A few days ago in Indore
00:36:28And that they should have informed
00:36:29Before leaving from the hotel
00:36:31How does the BJP view this remark?
00:36:35Look, Indore is a cleanest city
00:36:39It is a very cultural city
00:36:40Usually such incidents
00:36:42They don't happen there so easily
00:36:46But you know that
00:36:49Different kind of people are there
00:36:52In the society also
00:36:53So it is very unfortunate
00:36:55And the law enforcing authorities
00:36:59Have already booked the person
00:37:00Arrested him
00:37:02That you are also displaying that thing
00:37:04And when we come to the statement
00:37:08Of Kailashji
00:37:09Kailashji just suggested this thing
00:37:14On precautionary basis
00:37:15It doesn't mean that
00:37:17We are escaping from any kind of responsibility
00:37:22From government side
00:37:24Or from ICC side
00:37:26Or anything else
00:37:28This is just a precaution
00:37:30That we must move safely
00:37:32And it applies not only to women
00:37:35Or foreigners
00:37:37It applies to every celebrity
00:37:40Basically
00:37:41Whenever we move
00:37:43In the city
00:37:45We must be vigilant
00:37:47We must inform the authorities
00:37:50So that we can have
00:37:53A chance to protect them also
00:37:56So this is just a precautionary measure
00:37:59A normal precautionary measure
00:38:02What he talked about
00:38:03Whenever he also moves
00:38:06He informs the authority
00:38:07So Congress
00:38:10The statement is
00:38:11Totally
00:38:12You know
00:38:13Political statement
00:38:15Just to malign everything
00:38:17Mr. Bajpayee
00:38:18It was not just a precautionary suggestion
00:38:20He also mentioned
00:38:21That the Australian cricketers
00:38:23Should learn a lesson
00:38:24From this incident
00:38:25On such a sensitive issue
00:38:28Making such remarks
00:38:29Like learning a lesson
00:38:30What does this really reflect
00:38:31And that too coming from
00:38:32A senior leader
00:38:34And the minister of the state himself
00:38:36Look
00:38:37It is an advisory
00:38:38For every cricket team
00:38:40It is
00:38:41Whether it is
00:38:43Male cricketers
00:38:44Foreign cricketers
00:38:46Or
00:38:46Female cricketers
00:38:48Or Indian cricketers
00:38:50It is also
00:38:51Advised
00:38:51Cricket team
00:38:53That
00:38:53They must move
00:38:55Under security
00:38:56Coverage only
00:38:57Anywhere
00:38:57Just to avoid
00:38:59Kind of
00:39:00You know
00:39:00Unwanted
00:39:02Activities
00:39:04Or events
00:39:04Or
00:39:05Even sometimes
00:39:06You have seen
00:39:07That
00:39:07Some kind of
00:39:09Fans
00:39:10Also
00:39:10They cross the lines
00:39:11While taking selfies
00:39:13And all
00:39:13So this is
00:39:14Just
00:39:15What you say
00:39:17The SOP
00:39:18Of
00:39:18Movement
00:39:19Of a celebrity
00:39:20In the society
00:39:21It does not
00:39:23It does not mean
00:39:23That he is
00:39:24Committing on
00:39:25Females
00:39:26Or he is not
00:39:27Taking
00:39:28Responsibility
00:39:29All right
00:39:29All right
00:39:31Mr. Hidesh
00:39:32Bajpayi
00:39:32Thank you for
00:39:33Joining us
00:39:33On the broadcast
00:39:34So

00:45:14Now this meeting comes a month after the tragic stampede in Karur which claimed 41 lives and TVK Chief Vijay had earlier spoken to the victim's families and he had promised that he will be meeting them in person and the meeting is finally happening today.
00:45:35And he has reached the venue in Mahabalikuram.
00:45:42Ravish Pal is now joining us with more details on this issue.
00:45:43Ravish Pal is now joining us with more details on this issue.
00:45:44And my colleague Pramod Madhav is now joining us from the venue where the meeting will be happening.
00:45:50Pramod, give us the latest details.
00:45:51Well certainly Anjali we are currently in front of a location called Four Points where behind us this is a place where the victim's families have been brought in and like over there like almost 37 families have come to the spot.
00:46:07And on the other side you could actually see that the security personnel have also been placed over there just to make sure that like mentioned earlier that like you know no carers, fans or anybody is allowed.
00:46:17So that's the reason on one side you have actually proper security personnel that have also been placed and this place is completely cordoned for the day.
00:46:24In fact there are two gates to the spot and on the other side Vijay has entered the spot around 8am in the morning as well.
00:46:29So today we are planning that you know the planning plan is that around 10am he will start initiating meeting the families who have already reached Karoor from Karoor to Chennai.
00:46:39They were brought in two special buses yesterday and the important aspect here is that earlier the plan was that TBK claims that Vijay struggled a lot to meet the families, victims families at Karoor itself.
00:46:51But unfortunately it was not able, they were due to security reasons they were not able to do that.
00:46:55In fact we have been also told that like the kind of conditions were placed by TBK request from the authorities requesting them to keep it but it were like completely impractical for the police to do so.
00:47:07And that's the reason it was decided to bring the families instead of meeting them at Karoor but to bring them over here because time was of the essence and almost a month has gone.
00:47:16And Vijay was questioned why he did not meet the family so far by the opposition.
00:47:19So keeping all this in mind the family have been brought over here, we have been told that post breakfast Vijay would go ahead and meet these 37 families one after the other.
00:47:28They have been placed in separate rooms and he is supposed to spend 3 minutes to 15 minutes with them, talk to them, sit with them and you know like talk to them like heart to heart.
00:47:37And post which after lunch they are expected to leave from here Rajli.
00:47:41Right.
00:47:42Pramod also what do the victims families truly seek today?
00:47:45Is it emotional support or institutional accountability?
00:47:49Well, that's a very important question but the thing right now is that like Vijay has already given his, made his apology through like video message, through statements and all.
00:48:01But the important aspect is that like one question that was put forward for Vijay is that why he did not go and meet the family.
00:48:08In fact, DMK IT Wing was very clear about it.
00:48:10They were targeting Vijay over it and it was a big blot on DBK's end because 41 lives were lost and they were not able to meet the families.
00:48:17Imagine like you know giving them, talking to them through the video conference on such but that does not actually like the way talking to them straight face to face what a very important thing.
00:48:25So, for now it looks like it's about accountability and it's about Vijay talking to them personally, telling them what happened, how he was like you know not able to probably meet them earlier and such.
00:48:36So, post all this and like probably later accountability will be held but for now it is about meeting the family of those who have lost their loved ones, even young children and women.
00:48:49So, that is what is happening right now inside this hotel slash resort in Mahabali Brahmajali.
00:48:54Right, Pramud, and also we are learning that media persons and party members are also barred from attending this event.
00:49:01Why so?
00:49:05Well, just like you said, all the media persons everywhere are asked to stay out only and the fans are not allowed to be here because the biggest issue when it comes to Vijay is the fan frenzy and that's the reason it's been blocked.
00:49:17In fact, any vehicle is not allowed as we speak, they are being checked, they need either passes or someone has to inform them from inside that they have to allow the vehicle and only then they are allowed inside.
00:49:26The important aspect is that unfortunately Vijay has a huge fan base that is unruly and unpredictable and that's the reason they have decided to do so and the most important aspect today is that today is a day of mourning.
00:49:38So, Vijay did not want to popularize it, publicize it or such, that's the reason they have, TVK has very clearly requested that they will actually, you know, they have made sure that the party cadres for Tamiragam and Chikaragam or the fans, none allowed over here around the vicinity.
00:49:53And it looks like it was easy for Vijay's party to actually maintain this here instead of in a place like Karur and that's the reason it was decided to be at the outskirts of Chennai, that is Mahabalipuram.
00:50:04Here, the whole day is about mourning, the whole day is about Vijay meeting the families and that's why it has been selected at this point.
00:50:10In fact, all this amidst criticism over that Vijay did not have, like fled from the scene on that 27th of September, the fateful day and also Vijay not meeting the families.
00:50:22No, the DMK IT being was very, very particular about claiming that Vijay was seeking protection from his own fans and claiming that conditions are there.
00:50:29So, all this amidst all this sarcasm and criticism, now Vijay is meeting the, it has been decided that Vijay will go ahead and meet the families of the victims, Anjali.
00:50:36All right, Pramod, thank you so much for getting us those details. We'll keep coming back to you for more updates on the story.
00:50:42As of now, we're shifting focus. We're getting some more breaking news.
00:50:54Bangladesh's Mohammed Yunus-led interim government is preparing to roll out a red carpet for the wanted Indian fidgetive and Islamic creature, Zakir Naik.
00:51:01Naik is set to go on his first ever Bangladesh tour next month.
00:51:05According to the event organisers, this tour is approved by the government and being facilitated by the officials.
00:51:12So, that's the breaking news that's coming in Bangladesh.
00:51:14Mohammed Yunus-led interim government is now preparing to roll out a red carpet for the wanted Indian fidgetive and Islamic preacher, Zakir Naik.
00:51:23Now, Naik is all set to go on his first ever Bangladesh tour next month.
00:51:27And according to event organisers, this tour is approved by the government and also being facilitated by the officials.
00:51:35Now, Bangladesh government has approved one month tour of Zakir Naik from November 28th to December 20th this year.
00:51:45India Today Global's Pranay Upadhyay is now joining us with more details on this.
00:51:48Pranay, amid the strained ties between India and Bangladesh, now we're learning that the Bangladesh interim government,
00:51:54led by Mohammed Yunus, is all set to roll out a red carpet for the wanted Indian fidgetive Zakir Naik.
00:52:00Definitely, Anjali, this is a major shift in policy of Bangladesh government because Zakir Naik was one of the accused,
00:52:08not exactly accused, but he was the one who came under the scanner after the July 2016 Holi Artisan Bakery terror attack.
00:52:19And one of the bomber, one of the attacker, you know, gave in a statement to the Bangladeshi investigator
00:52:25that he was influenced by the speeches of Zakir Naik and after that his peace TV was banned in Bangladesh.
00:52:31But now, after August 2024, you know, events and the interim Mohammed Yunus government's policy shift,
00:52:38now he's being welcomed in Bangladesh.
00:52:41And this is, you know, clearly an indication that how fundamentalist and radical elements are being promoted in Bangladesh.
00:52:48This is a worrisome trend for India.
00:52:50And if you see, both India's neighbor, like, you know, Pakistan hosted Zakir Naik in 2024 and now in 2025,
00:52:58Bangladesh is all set to prepare, all set to host Zakir Naik, who's one of India's wanted.
00:53:04And in fact, he fled India after the Holi Artisan Bakery terror attack of Bangladesh.
00:53:10So, sir, this is a really, really interesting development in India's neighborhood
00:53:15and clearly an indication that how Mohammed Yunus' government is trying to monoclonal these radical elements.
00:53:24Absolutely, Pranay. Do stay with us.
00:53:25We're also showing our viewers the poster that has been released of Zakir Naik's visit
00:53:30that has been approved by the Bangladesh interim government led by Mohammed Yunus.
00:53:35On your screens right now, on the right side, we're showing you the welcoming poster of Zakir Naik
00:53:41about his tour in Bangladesh.
00:53:44The tour is one month long.
00:53:46It starts from November 28th till December 20th, 2025.
00:53:51Pranay Upadhyay continues to stay with us.
00:53:53Pranay, what does this reflect on the policies of the interim government in Bangladesh
00:53:57and how is it going to impact the ties between India and Bangladesh as well?
00:54:02Definitely. You know, you do not expect India to, you know, not to react on such developments.
00:54:10But we have to see that what the government of India does after this tour.
00:54:15But certainly, this clearly shows that how Bangladesh's Mohammed Yunus government is making policy shift.
00:54:21We have seen that, you know, few days ago, Samshad Mirza, the chairman of Joint Chief of Staff of Pakistan,
00:54:30he visited Bangladesh.
00:54:31He had a meeting with Bangladesh government's chief advisor, Mohammed Yunus.
00:54:35And in the recent past, we have seen that how Pakistan-Bangladesh ties have so-called improved
00:54:42and how these special concessions have been given to Pakistani elements and Pakistani business people.
00:54:48Also, there is a rise of fundamental elements in Bangladesh.
00:54:53And we have seen how, you know, the radical organizations are being protected
00:55:00and they are being promoted in Bangladesh.
00:55:02So, clearly, this is actually a very important development.
00:55:09And in fact, we have to see, you know, how this pans out and, you know, how the government of India reacts to this.
00:55:17Absolutely, Pranay. Thank you so much for getting us all those details.
00:55:21And for that context, Bangladesh is all set to lay a red carpet for a wanted India, fugitive in India, Zakir Nayak.
00:55:29And his tour of Bangladesh has been approved by the government itself.
00:55:43And we're now getting some more breaking news.
00:55:45Shunted Sidramaya minister predicts Nataka in the state of Karnataka.
00:55:49Rajanna says, allow chief minister to rejig team or else.
00:55:54So, is it a big revelation on team Sidramaya's game plan?
00:55:58Is this an ultimatum to the high command?
00:56:01These are the questions that arise now.
00:56:04Sidramaya aims to rejig his cabinet next.
00:56:07But amid that, the shunted Sidramaya minister has predicted drama.
00:56:12And K.N. Rajanna has said that, allow the chief minister to rejig the team.
00:56:17Let's listen.
00:56:19What we want to know, is it?
00:56:21Alright.
00:56:27After that, Sidramaya minister reached the high command to the high command.
00:56:32And he is getting rid of it.
00:56:34So, if he is getting rid of it and he doesn't set a he is getting rid of it.
00:56:36If he has rid of it and he doesn't ask, he can't help it.
00:56:41He will tell me.
00:56:42And my colleague Sagai Raj is now joining us with more on this story.
00:57:11And my colleague Sagai, Amit, buzz over cabinet reject in the state of Karnataka.
00:57:14We're getting this statement from the ex-Pelt Congress Minister K.N. Rajanna saying that the cabinet reject must be allowed or else nobody knows what's going to happen.
00:57:24Give us more context.
00:57:26Sir, you need to read between the lines when he makes this particular statement stating that he is sending across a message saying that if the cabinet reshuffle is happening,
00:57:35it is a clear message that Siddharamaya will be shown doors where he had to make way for Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shukumar in the state.
00:57:43And if he's been allowed to make cabinet reshuffle, then it is a clear message that he will continue for five years.
00:57:49So he says that if he's not been allowed to do a reshuffle, then there might be political development in the state of Karnataka.
00:57:55And even Siddharamaya will visit Delhi on 15th of November and probably will get to know the real picture behind cabinet reshuffle post his visit to Delhi.
00:58:07All right, Siddharamaya, thank you for those details and for that context.
00:58:11So shunted, Siddharamaya Minister predicts Nataka in the state of Karnataka over cabinet reject.
00:58:18Getting some breaking news, Delhi University acid attack, shocker, acid attack on Delhi University student near college, stalker and two others on the run.
00:58:27A 20-year-old Delhi University student suffered acid burns after being attacked near Lakshmi by college in northwest Delhi's Ashok Vihar area on Sunday morning.
00:58:36Police said that the accused identified as a stalker, Jitendra, along with the two associates, allegedly threw acid at her before fleeing the scene.
