00:19In a few media outlets, there have been a cover that the oil companies have closed the oil companies from Russia. Is that right?
00:26A number of reports that came in earlier suggested that Indian companies like Indian Oil Corporation, Hindustan Petroleum and Bharat Petroleum Corporation have not sought Russian crude oil in the past week or so.
00:42However, sources within the MEA have also confirmed that they have no knowledge of these reports that are circulating.
00:47India reportedly sources 2 million barrels per day from Russia, that is 35% of its oil imports and value of purchases in 2024-25 fiscal year has been $50 billion as per official data.
