00:00The 22nd Amendment says you can only run for office for two terms.

00:05You think that that's cut and dry.
00:07Fox anchor Brett Baer talks presidential term limits with Supreme Court Justice Amy Coney Barrett.
00:14Well, that's, you know, that's what the amendment says, right?
00:18You know, after FDR had four terms, that's what that amendment says.
00:22Supporters of President Donald Trump and Trump himself have suggested that he might run again in 2028.
00:27If he does, the matter is almost certain to be decided by the Supreme Court.
00:33Baer seized the opportunity to ask the question after Coney Barrett explained the Constitution is written in varying levels of generality.
00:41So sometimes it's very specific.
00:43The president has to be at least 35 years old.
00:45But sometimes it's very general.
00:47We're protected from unreasonable searches and seizures.
00:49We have freedom of speech.
00:51And to have freedom of speech doesn't mean that you have freedom only to pass out pamphlets in a town square.
00:56I mean, it means that you have freedom to be on broadcast news.
