00:00Kim Jong-un, Vladimir Putin, and Xi Jinping will stand together in Beijing next week,
00:05an image of deepening ties among three leaders challenging the West.
00:09They'll attend a massive parade marking 80 years since the end of World War II.
00:17China says more than 10,000 troops, tanks, missiles, and advanced drones will roll through
00:23Tiananmen Square, many being shown for the first time. The event will mark Kim's first
00:29trip to China since 2019. Putin's presence at the parade is being hailed as proof of a
00:35comprehensive strategic partnership with Beijing. It also follows the first ever joint
00:41Russian-Chinese submarine patrol in the Pacific. Analysts say Moscow's support is helping Pyongyang
00:48move faster on new missile designs, tactical nuclear warheads, and even plans for nuclear-powered
00:55submarines. After the war with Ukraine drained Russian resources, Moscow became one of Pyongyang's
01:01best customers when it comes to military equipment. Defense experts are also saying all of these
01:07factors are raising risk levels for the US, South Korea, and others in the region. So while China
01:15frames the event as a celebration of military modernization and unity against fascism, for
01:21Washington, it's a reminder that while the US is pushing for peace in Ukraine, its rivals are closing
01:28ranks. For more of our unbiased straight fact reporting, download the Stratto News app today.
