00:02President Putin said clearly that he is ready to meet, provided this meeting is really going to have an agenda.

00:12Russia's foreign minister says no summit is planned between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Ukraine's Vladimir Zelensky,

00:19despite President Donald Trump's push for talks.

00:22Sergey Lavrov told NBC's Meet the Press that Putin would only agree if an agenda were in place,

00:27adding, there is no meeting planned.

00:32Lavrov claimed Ukraine rejected points raised by Trump in recent meetings, including blocking NATO membership,

00:39negotiating territorial concessions and rolling back language laws.

00:43NBC notes Ukraine has not outlawed Russian.

00:47After meeting separately with Putin in Alaska and Zelensky in Washington,

00:51Trump announced preparations were underway for a summit, possibly followed by a trilateral meeting.

00:56He later told conservative radio host Todd Starnes he would know within two weeks whether the talks are moving forward.

01:03Zelensky says he's ready to meet, but accused Moscow of dodging talks while escalating missile and drone strikes.

01:10He urged the United States to respond with tougher sanctions and economic pressure.

01:15Military chiefs from the U.S., Europe and Ukraine met this week to develop security guarantees.

01:21The U.S. military says those proposals will go next to national security advisors.

01:27Now, as for a venue, possible sites include Geneva, Austria or Hungary, with Turkey and Qatar also floated as neutral hosts.

01:35But with an international criminal court warrant limiting Putin's travel, finding a location may be as difficult as agreeing on terms.

01:42The arrest warrant restricts Putin from traveling to most of Europe.
