00:00A few videos posted online shows a delivery driver escaping at least 10 U.S. Border Patrol agents in Chicago over the weekend.
00:10The clip that went viral was about 17 seconds long.
00:14In it, Border Patrol agents are seen chasing a cyclist who manages to slip away by jumping on his bike and pedaling off.
00:21He quickly changes direction and escapes by riding away, leaving the federal officers trailing behind on foot.
00:28The full video, also posted online, is about 28 seconds in length and shows a bigger picture of the altercation.
00:35In that video, you can hear the cyclist scream an expletive at the officers who were seen standing on a nearby downtown Chicago street.
00:43The cyclist drops his phone, and that's when the officers try to grab him before he escapes.
00:49The altercation comes while federal agents are cracking down on immigration in the Chicago area.
00:53On Friday, S.A.N. reported on a protest against these actions at a federal immigration facility in a Chicago suburb.
01:02The U.S. Department of Homeland Security said a crowd of 200 rioters were blocking the entrances and exits to the facility.
01:09That's when ICE and Border Patrol agents used chemical crowd control weapons, like tear gas and pepper balls, on the demonstrators in order to disperse the crowd.
01:19The confrontation that lasted several hours recently occurred between federal authorities and protesters.
01:25The clash is the latest in a series of confrontations that have taken place since a wave of immigration enforcement began earlier this month in the Windy City.
01:35President Donald Trump posted to Truth Social Sunday afternoon, reposting a video of a confrontation between the federal agents and protesters in Chicago, writing,
01:44Border Patrol will take no nonsense.
