00:00This is your New York Sports Minute, presented by Tri-State Cadillac.
00:03Somebody wake up the Mets, because right now they're caught in a nightmare.
00:08Swept by the Pirates this weekend, now losers of 13 of their last 16 games,
00:12and this June swoon has gone from bad to brutal.
00:15Frankie Montas, he got rocked in his second start this season,
00:18adding to an already shaky rotation that struggled to find any kind of consistency lately.
00:23And let's talk about the offense, or should I say lack thereof.
00:26Francisco Lindor, he's mired in a massive slump.
00:28Pete Alonso can't find his power stroke, and the entire lineup looks lost at the plate.
00:33A players-only meeting was supposed to fix things, but clearly that did nothing,
00:37as Pittsburgh continued to embarrass them.
00:39The Mets, they're quickly losing ground in the NL East, a game and a half behind the Phillies.
00:44And if they don't snap out of this soon, we can be looking at a larger gap.
00:48July better bring some fireworks, or the panic meter in Flushing will be rising.
